I arrived at 6.45am to an almost empty car park. Took the masons creek trail up (which you can easily walk past if you’re not looking). Got pretty lost 3-4 times and it was incredibly steep. However - better than the longer route most people take. Masons lake is pretty but didn’t stop. Continued to the summit and was utterly blown away. It was challenging but the reward was that of mailbox when you’re there alone too. The trip down almost ruined it - streams of hikers and giant groups of Chinese tourists. When I got to the trailhead by circa 12.30pm - I could not believe my eyes. People were having to park over a mile away just to find a spot. Do this climb - but take water, good boots, and go early!!!!

Nice maintained trail. Made it to the look out without any problems. Snow is starting to melt.

Great trail - started out @ 9:30am. The parking lot was mostly full. The trail is very clean and nice. Got back down @ 12:45. The whole trail round trip took around 3 hours. Much shade and very fun trail. 9/10 recommend!!!

fantastic hike. starts off with a good grade and continues on pretty much a step climb all the way with a few occasional breaks where it flattens out. breathtaking views once above the tree line. absolutely gorgeous. there is snow at the top and continues melt makes crossing streams a challenge. deep holes in the snow to watch out for. the snow shelf appears to be about 5-6ft above the rocks and streams beneath. except heavy crowds

Great trail for a workout. Holy switchbacks Batman. Went on the Fourth around 10a and not as bad traffic as expected. About 4.5 hours round trip.

Arrived at the trail before 8, very few people to start! Pretty easy hike with a great view!

The way up seemed to follow a longer/different route than what this shows, but overall was easy to follow and a relatively easy hike for a “hard” hike. There was a bear in the upper meadow that was grazing on the trail, had a few of us stuck on the summit side waiting for it to leave.

The trail was great! I still followed my GPS after a few times of following the wrong trail. The switchbacks were definitely a hike but I felt like the old mailbox trail was much steeper than this one. Overall, great hike. Finished in 3.5 hours. I got there at 1:30 and lots of spots left. But it was foggy too.

Beautiful!!!!

Serious burner- switchbacks oh plenty - The expansive views at the top make it all worth it

The trail is in great shape but a bit muddy. At least 80% of the people were wearing mask. The parking lot was over flowing and parked at least to half a mile when were retuning around 1pm. Over all it was a great hike.

Great trail! Completed first and second lake. There are logs at first lake, where you can sit. The views are spectacular. Second lake was also good, but relatively less space near view point to sit or take photos. Overall great and easy hike. It was little muddy but doable in sports shoes as well.

Too many people on trail for good trail running. Pretty trail and lakes.

Nice trail for a family hike but just be ready to get muddy. Kids thought it was cool be on the ski mountain without snow.
