Very cool falls! Trail is easy to follow but splits a lot to different areas along the stream bed. Take the left most split whenever possible.

Beautiful 200m trail at best. Can park right next to Trail instead of across the bridge but crossing the high bridge is fun too. Can wade up to the base of the falls, about hip deep.

Great trail system in here for conditioning for many entry levels. You can extend the hike in many directions from here. The Forestry Trail is a great hike not to be missed if you’re looking for a quick 2.25 mile addition. staying at lake Sylvia is always a treat (weekdays, not weekends). Fishing & kayaking are both popular here as well. It’s our weekday getaway in the summer.

Jus hiked over the weekend! Great for beginners! Well maintained!

Very beautiful but difficult. I came in from the South Fork Skok Trailhead. It’s about 8 miles in one way. The trail is pretty overgrown in places and there are a lot of big trees down in the trail. The trail is difficult to follow at time and disappears frequently after the second river crossing. The bridge at the second crossing is out and you have to ford the river. The last mile and a half is straight up and there is still snow on the other side of Sundown pass but it is passable without much difficulty. There are fish in the lake but they were very reluctant to bite any fly I threw at them, didn’t see any over 10 inches

Wynoochee falls. Someone has spray painted the rock next to the falls. Can’t believe that someone would do that.

It was super fun and easy for the little kids! There are a lot of root bumps in the trail, but if you’re paying attention you’ll be fine. Toddlers really seemed to enjoy this one and we will definitely be doing it more often! Picnics would be awesome here.

Well maintained.

Awesome hike with beautiful views of plants and the river. The first river viewing spot was awesome. Very dog friendly and kids of all ages could do this hike.

Best small park gem I’ve found in years. Beautiful park, well maintained and well cared for. Old growth everywhere!

We go here every year usually occupying 2 sites with our row boats, kayaks, fishing gear, kids and dogs. Plenty of room for RVs, Bus or VanCamper like us ... always a good time tho bring the mosquito spray.

thank God for the app being connected to Gps because we took a wrong turn and went way out. ended up piggy backing different trails to get back. all this with a 4 year old and a couple dogs. plenty if great scenery.

Another great trip to Lake Sylvia State Park. I highly recommend this park. It's close to home and a great little short get away for the day. Great place for kids too!

This was a wonderful little hike. Muddy in spots due to the time of year but stunning views.

Always my favorite little jaunt when I want to get out of olympia, but don’t have the time to go too far. It holds its beauty year round!

The trails are starting to get a little muddy in places and there was 4 to 5 inches of water over the Lake Trail near the north end on the west side. The upper sections of the Sylvia Ridge and Brownie trails go through a recent clear cut.

Quiet and woodsy with some decent views at the top. Hooks up with several other trails

I found two clear cuts coming from the Lake Sylvia side. Not a bad trail but nothing really interesting about it either.

Easy trail for kids. Neat little covered bridge along the way!
