The majority of the trail and the destination are wonderful. No complaints there. My issue lies with the poor signage leading to the trail itself. The parking lot is probably .5 miles, though a private residential neighborhood, before reaching the trailhead. Very poorly marked but a great walk once you find the start.

Great trail! First part is play but second part is a scramble... more moderate than easy. View from top is gorgeous

Just beautiful. Make sure to get to the trailhead from the north side of the island (taking school road east), cause if you’re on the south end you’ll be lead to a tiny dirt road with hills and curves and too many trees so your gps doesn’t really know where to go! Want to come back to hike more here, but had to turn around to catch a ferry.

Easy in/out. Small parking area which keeps the beach from being over crowded. Beautiful views. Great for water play, relaxing, and exploring the surrounding cliffs.

Short and absolutely beautiful.

Gem of a trail! Beautiful, interesting terrain including forest, open meadows with wildflowers and large boulders.

Mother's day nice ride with my daughter. Cars friendly. Many gravel roads I got flat tire.

Short and to the point, literally. Great for seeing some sweet, sweet marine life. Whale spray, sea otters and if you’re lucky, not a lot of humans. Get to the trailhead by bike if you’re doing it right and take your lunch out to the flat rocks to enjoy the peace and quiet.

This place is beautiful!!! If you’re visiting Lopez island you must go here. We took amazing pictures. The “hike” there took us like 15-20 minutes with our 2 year old.

Trail was well maintained and very easy to walk on. Make sure you bring your binoculars! There are great views of harbor seals and bald eagles from the overlook at the end of the hike.

Great beach hike with excellent views of ship traffic. Kids had fun endlessly examining the seashells and even saw a live crab in a tide pool. Hike in an out from parking lot is short but steep.

Best hike we did on Lopez. There is enough elevation gain to the marker to make it good exercise and the vistas along the rugged coastline are magnificent. Must park at Agate Beach parking lot and hike down private road to bat and ball lane where the trail entrance is.

Very nice short walk, with great view as a payoff. Definitely take some time to enjoy this gorgeous coast.

Reef Sanctuary on the west side of the island, where a short 10-minute walk through a forest will lead to a rocky shoreline where you’ll get views over the water and I saw a seal (and perhaps sea lion or otter), just be sure to follow the path around to the left.

It is an easy walk to tall cliffs and towering old growth Douglas firs frame the stunning Watmough Bay Preserve at the south end of Lopez.

Easy walk to some of the most amazing views in the islands. Great for kids. There's some steep cliffs at the end so as long as you keep an eye on the little one's, you'll be fine. Lots of seals down near the water and you'll see your share of chipmunks!
