This was an easy hike to a nice lake. Not too many people on a weekend but I am going to guess that is because of the mosquitos. This will not be a hike we do again because of the amount of mosquitos.

Gorgeous trail and easy going. You’re alongside Icicle Creek the whole time and there are some great views of the water and surrounding mountains. Lots of families going through. Lots of mosquitos so beware.

BRING BUG SPRAY!!!

Great, easy trail! Love walking along the river and the beautiful Mountain View’s.

Great moderate hike with views of a little bit of everything. There was a little bit of mud but not too bad and really easy to avoid. The scenery was beautiful. There was a moderate amount of traffic but not too busy. Definitely would go again!

Easy trail with beautiful lake view. Bring mosquito repellent and the recreation pass. Last mile of road isn’t paved but manageable if you drive slowly.

When you reach the stream at the lake, look for a log to cross it (it’s not obvious), to continue the trail and get better lake views. You can continue the trail down towards Lake Wenatchee to make it a loop/circular walk (at the end you will need to walk the gravel road back up to the car but it’s a quiet road). When you reach Lake Wenatchee there is a picnic and bbq area.

No dogs. Come on, WA. Catch up to 2018.

on Hidden Lake Trail

Easy fun hike. Great hidden lake views. Easy to prolong and make a loop going to lake Wenatchee on the way back.

It's was very physical. But worth every step. It was gorgeous, some snow ,but all I needed were some regular shoes with good grip. Even saw a mountain goat. Highly recommended.

The trail has a nice scenic view with moderate amount of walk. we had a baby is a carrier and it is still a good walk and not too difficult. please make sure you have a mosquito repellent cream for the baby, as few parts of the trail can get difficult without.

Such a lovely hike. Well maintained trail, relatively flat with almost no elevation. Easy on the knees! Water was high and fast. Didn’t have a problem with bugs on the trail. Greenery, , views, wildflowers and the constant sound of water while hiking made it worth the drive to get to. Recommend to all.

Hiked on Memorial day weekend. Turned out to be 6.6 miles. Absolutely lovely hike (except for the mosquito's). Was surprised by all the charred wood/trees (must have been hit by all the forest fires last year). Some of the trail was under water, but lots of logs were laid down to help us cross. The lake views at the end made the trek worth it. The 3 mi drive up the gravelly road is bouncy. Loved all the water elements (streams, pond, lake, water falls) along the way!

Mixed feelings on this one, having been to many other pristine Alpine Lakes. Definitely not a hike for a warm day, as you’re completely exposed to the sun. It’s tedious and uphill the entire time. The surrounding vistas are beautiful. The “lower lake” is absolutely gorgeous; Eightmile Lake itself is somewhat disappointing, the area around it is mostly charred remnants of previous forest fire damage, and the fact that it has an artificial concrete control wall at its mouth, as well as rock buildup, is displeasing. I would not choose to visit again.

Beautiful hike. hike along the creek and the lake is awsome. Not much traffic here which makes it quiter.

Great hike everything about it was beautiful. A lot of water running off, lakes, streams. It takes a couple of hours so plan it as a day hike. This hike is wonderful if you've done it once, you'll do it again it's that gorgeous.

it was easy on our bad knees but still gave us a bit of exercise. easy elevations was what made the knees be able to continue without any pain to speak of. and the wildflowers were gorgeous this time of year (May.)

Really nice little hike, very quiet and good views at the top!
NB : We saw that a pass was normally required (Northwest forest pass, other local interagency pass - available at wenatchee ranger station or a day pass that can be bought at the trail in summer months)

This trail was absolutely amazing, my friend and I had her daughter with us who is 4 years old and she did great! Of course lots of little breaks with the little one, but it was very easy for her and she loved climbing over all the fallen logs that are on the trail! It’s not a super long way to the hidden lake either, and the view is beautiful! The way down is tricky, we crossed the stream and stuck to the right side .. found a trail that led us to a campground, we got confused because it wasn’t where we originally started had the same look though. Ended up asking some passer bys in a vehicle for directions & had to take the dusty road back to the trailhead.. now I know I’ll probably just go back the way I came to the lake and skip that whole other side!

Love this trail. Easy hike among giant cedars. beautiful green river beside you and snow covered mountains around you. one of my favorites. still a bit of snow, but the road is now opened.

Hiked today. The trail was super wet in parts and some of the bridges were down, but I was still able to hike it all. No snow right now. Still as pretty as ever!

Easy hike, beautiful scenery

Gorgeous in October. Weather was warmer than expected and the sunshine made the colours pop! Especially the Golden Tamaracks and the aqua water in Nada Lake and Upper Snow Lake. It was recommended by hikers coming down from Lake Viviane that I use ice cleats or snow shoes above Snow Lakes. I didn't have the gear so I didn't go any further. But there was very little snow up to that point, and hardly any mud. Very few people mid-week. New granite slides made the trail a little trickier but still a piece of cake for an experienced hiker.

Fun, easy trail. The returning trail to complete the loop isn't obvious. Hiked this multiple times and decided its much easier to just take the first part of the loop back, not much extra to see on the full loop. Beautiful lake, especially when its frozen and you can walk out on it. Don't fall in :)
