Beautiful idyllic setting. Markings were pretty clear. Trail had a few bumps and roots but overall wonderfully magical

Fantastic path for biking and running! It runs along the river and residential areas, so it feels safe. Some covered areas but mostly exposed.

We’ve biked and walked this one. Very nice trail, but can be a bit crowded. There is a fun playground about a quarter of the way in from the south end.

Nice bike ride with a few hills. Paved for the 11.5 miles. Easy to moderate depending on your level and bike training.

you cannot complete this hike as large portions of it is in disrepair.

It's a great little trail, but the stairs are starting to fall into disrepair. And you will run into a lot of stair climbers, as this trail has a long set of stairs going down a steep incline, if memory serves me right, there are 196 steps, which is why they are so popular for this purpose.

Paved and non paved (which I opted for) trail options. Plenty of benches and a few picnic tables along the way.

Decent trail for walking and other activies, however; I would rather have biked it.

We took our 15 month old in his carrier and he did really well. We went about halfway down (up?) the trail and on the stairs. I counted about 163 steps. Beautiful views of the lake!

Somehow the instructions sent us somewhere else, which added .8 miles to the walk. The whole thing is paved for easy walking, but it was very wet with big puddles to jump over or slosh thru. I'll have to come back when it's drier to see the rest of the trail.

Well maintained paved path. There are a few rolling hills that might be challenging for some in a wheelchair.

The path is moderately travelled and I felt comfortable walking alone.

Took my 4 and 7-year-old out for a short hike today. The city has really let this trail go down at the lake. Garbage is strewn all over the lakefront, graffiti on the trees, glass shards on the ground, and the dock and walkway bridge are both shut down because of holes in the wood. Too bad to see, otherwise, it would have been a nice hike.

The main purpose for me was to get to the torture stairs. Great for getting into hiking shape.

Easy walk go there and back and it’s a good lengthy walk. I went 7th Dec 2017. Frosty chilly day but beautiful sunshine. Ducks, birds, squirrels on the pathways. Pleasantly surprised.

When wet: very lightly trafficked, slippery boardwalk, spider webs, devil tower of stairs-my husky wasn't a fan with her feet. great view of the lake if you go all the way down to the dock.

This trail is a short out and back and close to downtown Kent. It was a great place to head to for a quick walk/jog after work. I had a love-hate relationship with the stairs! I liked the thigh burn though. Lol! I went up and wandered around the trails but I could not figure out where to get to the lake area people mentioned. I did not feel comfortable on this isolated path while jogging by myself so I can't say I did anything more than a quick glance around looking for it. The discomfort I felt with having the trail to myself was great motivation to keep my pace up so that's a plus. I picked this trail for its location and the description stating it was moderately trafficked.
To sum it up: enjoyable short trail but much too isolated for my comfort

It has many uphill and downhill and not recommended as easy trail. Once you cross the trail under power line is awesome . Recommend for adults but not for Family biking.

Good paved path for a walking, running, or biking workout. There is not much shade and natural scenery is limited to glimpses of Mt Rainier and the river.

Went on a beautiful first date at this park, the sun set and it just made the day that much better. A great park to bring the family or for a date, plenty of flowers and trees to observe as well!

Wide paved trail. You do have to cross a few main streets some where there are not signs to warn or stop cars

A good trail to get a quick workout. There's a good variation of incline, decline, and flat and the stairs were also fun to jog up. The lake is nice and relaxing with a boardwalk you can walk down. Overall a nice trail. :)

Nice trail for an evening walk, good run, bike ride, or anything else! It is paved and mostly flat. Will definitely use again for running!

Great trail. Winds through some nice wooded areas with fantastic views of Mt. Rainier as you approach the trail end on the south. Great for walking, jogging and biking.

Happy to have a hilly trail for a more challenging 8 miler.

Nice nature walk if you live close by. The stairs were fun. We counted 180 of them. The lake is pretty and their were some fun little places to enjoy climbing into a canopy of trees. In April the trail is quite muddy, but I expected that and it felt good to be out anyway. We were bummed to discover that part of the trail was closed.

4/15/2017 (Sunday) - We just be out and back for 2/3 of the trail from its north end (192nd St), 3.9 miles one way. It's a paved flat and wide path on some interesting terrains. It's quiet with light to moderate traffic.
