Great beach. It stretches from the small parking lot by the side of the highway to the South Beach Campground, which makes for a lovely one-mile walk each way on the sand. The ocean looks beautiful in this place. The wind was strong.

Amazing, so peaceful and beautiful. Very few people and no boats or ships in sight. At low tide the beach is very wide. There are washed out crabs and jellyfish in the sand. Plenty of driftwood. There is a very small parking lot at the side of Highway 101, and the short trail leading to the beach starts there. After one mile of walking southbound on the beach, Beach 2 ends and Beach 1 begins. Each one is about 1 mile long. Wonderful place to walk. Can be very windy and the wind is very cold, so dress accordingly.

Very secluded didn’t see a single person while we were there. We got to see a herd of Elk which was AMAZING and why I rated 4 stars. Otherwise not much on the road didn’t get to go all the way through it was closed so had to turn back.

AS OF JUNE 16, 2017 TWO-THIRDS OF THE TRAIL IS CLOSED. The portion we were able to explore is quite lovely...but not sure I'd make the drive back to see the rest...

love this area

Oddly enough, this was busier than Rialto Beach - probably because of the nearby RV and campgrounds. Plenty of neat tidal pools and rock formations to climb over if you walk north. "Tree Cave" is near the beach entry.

Hard to beat this for coastal scenery. We stayed at Kalaloch in the cabins along the beach in mid-December and walked the beaches for hours during the day. Then, later in the afternoon we went back to the cabin for a nice warm fire and some book read'n.

Pretty easy hike. We had several small children under the age of 10 with us and older folks in the 50's that all went along. Lots of things to see as far as tide pools and water enemies. there were a few small caves and water falling along the way as well.

My wife and I visited Beach Trail 2 during a high tide advisory. The trail down to the beach is very short and well-maintained. The beach itself was littered with large logs and various other debris. We only saw a couple of people for the hour we were there.

Hiked several of the WA coast beaches during a December trip to Kalaloch. We had surprising clear mornings for hiking, and some Pacific storms in the afternoon. With a roaring fire back at the cabin, and a good book we were content to watch the surf and storms roll in.
