Hansville, Washington Map

This was a lot cooler than I thought it was gonna be. A really easy walk through the forest then you come out on the bluffs. We saw 2 bald eagles which is why it gets a 5 Star.

This is a nice little hike. It goes from beach to forest. I think it would be best to start at the forest end and walk to the beach.

Watched a pod of orcas swim past, learned about clamming at low tide, took in the history of the lighthouse, climbed the 92 steps and thoroughly enjoyed both beachy and foresty aspects of this short trail from the lighthouse.

nice, easy forest trail. No dogs.

Great trail to a secluded beach. Kids had a blast hiking through the woods and playing on the beach.

Beach side trail from the lighthouse very easy.

What a nice and pleasant little walk. I could find the entrance just because other people's cars were there, otherwise, I would have missed it. No doggies allowed.

I parked my car at Norwegian Point park of seaside and went little way further to South Beaver Pond (Lower Hawk's Pond). That was a pleasant and easy walk. I will take my dog there next time.

No point unless it's whale watching season ;)

I came out here after talking to a local in Kingston and I was definitely in for a surprise when I sat down at the chilly beach and watched the horizon line.

So bummed there's not a video upload option on here but I managed to catch a video of a humpback surfacing! And a hand full of sea lions feeding on the salmon.

Great little hike out to the beach. We've been here many time. It's my understanding your not allowed to take anything from this trail or beach and it's a pack it in/pack it out trail. It's been awhile since I've been there, but lived it the times I've gone.

Great trail for our adventurous dog!

This greenway trail has a lot of hidden gems for those willing to take the time stop and experience it. This is not a sensory stimuli for the the citified numb looking for instant gratification.

This trail was a really enjoyable run. there are actual several branches of the trail. The trail was really well built for the wet conditions with a lot of grating on bridges and elevated walkways. Lower Hawk Pond had a beautiful view. Markers 17-18 were on a dirt road that happened to be quite muddy, but the rest of the trails were great. Plenty of room for horses and the trails were well marked. If you are accessing the trail from Buck Lake Park the trail entrance is on the far left with reference to the parking lot and is just beyond the native plant garden.

The map only shows about 1/2 of this trail. I don't think I have the permissions to edit it, though.
It should be noted that while the primary use is hiking, we also permit mountain bikes and, on some parts, horses.
I, along with the other volunteer trail stewards, regularly walk this trail to assess trail conditions, maintenance needs, and to get an idea of visitor use. We are all part of the Hansville Greenway Association.

Trailhead was difficult to find because it was not marked, but I was able to find it when driving slow enough and passing for the second time. Now that I've been there it will be easy to find. Nice, flat trail leading to a bluff and sandy beach. Lots of birds and tidal life. TONS of sand dollars. Great place to explore. Look forward to going back

It is easy to miss the entrance to the trail, it wasn't marked when we were there. We only found it because there was a car parked at the entrance. It is an easy fairly level walk to the beach. Lot of gulls and herons on the day we went.

Very easy hike to the beach with a nice view of the wetland area. We were hoping to see more birds, but there wasn't much variety. Still a nice, pleasant, easy stroll.

This was my dogs favorite lake until he passed away. The loop trails are great for trail running, and taking children on nature walks. Lots of owls here. I take our photography club here quite often.

Great place to fish. Bring waders to cast out further.

These trails are in our backyard and we walk them fairly often with our dogs. Most of the trails are very well maintained, but some can get a bit muddy in winter. I think we've done most all of the trails.

Nice easy walk out to a sand beach. Nice quick walk

This is a Nature Conservancy property that provides shelter for a number of bird species. In spring and fall, many migratory birds stop here, making it a nice place to sit with binoculars or a spotting scope. The walk is mostly level and the trail is well maintained. My 80 year old mother-in-law had no problem with the trail. Parking is just a pullout on the side of the road, so there are seldom more than one or two other parties there.
