I’ve been to the American Camp multiple times but this was my first time going to Grandmas Cove! Landscape looked very similar to something like the Scottish highlands. Very pretty and a quick hike that’s worth it!

Road/parking is closed. Consider alternative route.

Great walk the dogs loved it too. On leash but that’s ok! Beautiful views but no where to see today.

Beautiful trail through the forest. Rewarded with spectacular views.

Not really a hike, more of a nice walk. Has amazing views of the water and potential to see a lot of marine life.

Not really considered a "hiking trail," it's more of a short walk around the grounds of the lighthouse. The lighthouse is absolutely beautiful on the coast. Nice sunny day, last whale sighting was 9/17/19

Lovely loop hike for a bit of exercise! Might’ve done the trail in reverse. Parked at Jackle’s lagoon. Started with easy grade through the woods with peek a boo views of water on our left. I stopped at lagoons 2 and 3 with my dog. We followed a sign to the right after lagoon 3 (lovely, quiet beach) towards Mt. Finlayson and took us on a steady, steep incline that left my dog and I huffing and puffing. Saw afterwards that we cut through to the pacific side a turn too soon rather than looped around. But gorgeous open views of Puget Sound with Lopez to the south east. Great exercise but not rocky. Much cooler in the woods so bring an extra layer or sweatshirt you can peel off once you get on the sunny side. Came upon a deer in a berry bush right next to us! Only saw 4 people the entire time. Went on a Thursday in August.

Started out good, but fallen trees became more frequent until I lost the trail (at my turn around point). Then I found my way back to the main trail that everything branches off of and made my way back to the labs from there. The main trail was a lot nicer of a jog.

Didn’t start this recording till halfway through the hike.

Wandering the various trails in this park.

Easy walk with neat tide pools at low tide for kids to see sea life. Good view across the straight as well.

Easy walk with nice ride pools for kids to see sea life.

This is a very fun trail with amazing views!

This is an easy hike with beautiful views. We saw a pod of orcas swim right next to the lighthouse!

Fairly easy, beautiful hike. Maps and signs help although there are a few areas that can be difficult to know which way to go.

Was like hiking in Muir Woods without the people

My favorite trail in the San Juans. Make sure to do a loop. Look for foxes in the meadows.

Beautiful view but, trails are not marked well. Went to do the Upland trail and almost wound up lost. Thank goodness for my app!

I would highly recommend! It is beautiful. The beach is all sand. We even saw some seals.
