Fun hike that was exciting to see at low tide. The kids always love walking down the trail and ending at the railroad tracks and this time we were able to go further. Muddy in spots and cool in the shade but it was nice on the beach.

Beautiful trees covered in moss throughout. Easy stroll but a good quicky.

Great walk great weather.

love this trail!

Great, easy walk! Perfect for running(you’ll see quite a few on your way)! Part of the trail is paved and the rest is dirt and rock. There will be mud! I brought my dog and he got very dirty but we both enjoyed ourselves!

A beautiful trail with the most insane fern forest!!! It is. a nice winter walk but much nicer the rest of the year because the ferns die out a bit.

Nice little hike with good views of the sound at the end. very easy difficulty, recommended for kids and dogs. it is a little muddy so probabaly no tennis shoes.

We really enjoyed this trail. First hike of 2019 and we needed an easy trail to start out with. Great picture opportunity along the way.

Great trail year-round. Our pups loved it. We found it more enjoyable during low tide so we could walk out on the beach. You can hear the sea lions over on a small island not too far away. We will be back!

Well maintained trail, nice leisure walk. Great views of puget sound at the bottom! Well worth it.

I haven’t had the pleasure of hiking this trail in the spring or summer, but I imagine it gets pretty beautiful. The trail was very easy, but it’s not well marked at all. I took a picture of the map before I started, so that helped. It has a few little scenery surprises. You just have to have JBLM access to get to it.

Great trail for little ones. Good for a quick relaxing stroll through the woods and cool ending at the beach.

Not a terrible trail. Really easy and a quick adventure for kids. I would definitely take my kids, again. Though it isn’t clearly marked, we were able to navigate it pretty well. Impossible to get lost and my kids led the way most of the time.

Beautiful trail! It was a great first trail here in Washington and I look forward to many more. Once you get to the water enjoy the seals popping out to say their hellos!!

Badly marked thought I was lost! But it is pretty. This trail is on JBLM, not near, like the description said.

Cold in the winter, lots of shade, as you are walking down a gully to the sound. But nice wide trail more of a road. Lot of dogs. Beautiful views at the water.

This a great trail for a family walk with the dog. It’s 1.5 miles from the trailhead to the shores of Puget Sound with a gradual downhill. Partly paved and partly stones, the trail is easy to follow and well traveled. Spectacular scenery as you are surrounded by trees and trickling water.

it was a good easy trail. I didn't do much research on this trail so I showed up in jeans and a jacket. I should've used leggings or some sort of athletic wear. it was still muddy beginning of November. easy trail. I would definitely bring a friend I stead of going alone.

easy walking trail

I love this little hike! It's easy and straightforward, with mile markers provided. The end destination is beautiful and there is quite a long shoreline to explore, along with a decommissioned railroad tunnel that you can walk through. Honestly, a great walk!

Easy walking trail.

easy but enjoyable

Went at sunset and it was amazing!
