We loved this trail and hiked to the falls. It was beautiful and would definitely go again. We hiked a total of about 8 miles.

Nice little park of trails. Went to the north viewpoint and then took La-Z-Boy back down. Will come back here to explore more at some point.

Simply beautiful!!! Bring microspikes.

way to many people

Well maintained easy to moderate hike. The waterfalls were nice.

the trail was easy to find with the picture of the gate already posted. The issue was there was no markings to follow. One trail followed along the stream and ended, the other trail went up to the bridge that didnt have any signs for zig zag. We went left and walked accross the bridge and say multiple rock climbers but the trail was a road. Some cool views but without the signs we didn't do the intended hike.

Like the others, watch for the tide schedule! It’s truly a beautiful scene and definitely worthwhile. I went with my grandfather who had no trouble walking down to the water! It’s a fairly easy trail and a popular one as well - we went on the weekend) and it was somewhat difficult to find parking. Definitely would return whenever i have the time to!

Easy and short hike up to the top, but surprised more people haven’t talked about the heights! I’ve hiked well over 30 trails in the Oregon/Washington area, and this is one of the few that actually made me nervous on my way to the top! There are guard rails, but it’s just wide open to the side of the rock as you ascend. Worth it for the views at the top!

great views of North and South sound

incredible route, hardest route up onto spine over looking both valleys.. miniature grand canyon , well recommended, my phone died prob 8 to 9 mile total

St Patricks day hike. 35 degrees at the trail head. Areas of water over trail but easily passable. Still a little snow at the top. More elevation gain than expected, trail overall in good shape. Over, under and around a few logs. Happy I brought poles.

Long steep rocky climb. Great views.

Awesome to get to on a mountain bike and do the various loops. Pipeline trail cuts through it like Main Street.

Great walk! The gorge winds made it an epic climb up the switchbacks. Totally worth going to the top.

The switchbacks are brutal but the view is worth the work. The traffic was heavier than I expected it would be. All things considered, a beautiful trail.

This was an amazing trail! It was a constant workout on the way up, but only two miles, so not too bad. The trail is in great condition! Almost all of the snow was gone, just a little bit at the north view point. Both views were breath taking! Coming down was tough on my knees even with poles, but still loved the hike!

A pleasant walk through beautiful second growth forest. Through the canopy an Eagle could be seen soaring in lazy circles against a background of an azure blue sky. While the trail is well marked with connections to other routes to enjoy

Found a pair of glasses on my way down from this hike today (3/15/18). anyone lose a pair? they are thin lenses and a pretty strong prescription!

Nice and easy stroll around the lake with good views of the Capitol and pretty close to downtown Olympia

Still snow and ice in spots on 03/10/18. I liked that it was nicely paved and taken care of, but don’t think I’ll be back. Kinda one of those things where you do it once and then don’t feel the need to come back.

So pretty, easy walk! Dog friendly and it wasn’t that crowded.

It has a variety of paths to take and go one. Great for a wooded walk, some standing water, paths we went on didn't have any running water. Would be a mosquito fest in a lot of areas come springtime but overall good hike. Lots of area where you felt like the only one in the woods!

Had a very rewarding 2 night stay in the canyon last week. The sign marking where the trail is no longer maintained is knocked over and eroded; this did not stop my dog, boyfriend and I from continuing on and getting lost/ exploring for a half a day or so. We ended up scrambling up to the top of the canyon to find refuge from the sticker plants below. Gorgeous view from the top definitely worth the hard work and a perfect spot to eat lunch. The first night it dropped below freezing so Im looking forward to returning once the weather warms up a bit.

Rather than going through the gate and up the TP Jim trail if you follow the trail north alongside the road it is a much more gradual uphill climb. The middle section of the trail flattens out and then becomes much steeper the final stretch as you make your way up to the top of Baldy. A good conditioning hike with nice views of the canyon as you follow the ridge line. This trail must be a scorcher in the summer heat with no shade.

Easy walk with a romantic aura to it, by the water. Often cloudy and rainy. You can see Canada across the water.

very nice, quiet & clean, trail head was a little hard to find at first...

Mostly incline, but manageable. Nice tranquil hike, well maintained, well marked, no bathroom facilities. Parking off road.

Very good hike. I would say moderate to strenuous. Views on top are amazing, mountains on the North view and beautiful views of Hood Canal on South view about another half mile.

One of the best trails in Washington! The scenery is breathtaking on the top.
A little icy the last part of the trails so microspikes were helpful.

Beautiful day up there! A little muddy in places but not bad at all.
