A beautiful and interesting trail. The trail is a winding narrow path among dense bushes. You can also choose to walk on the beach and see seagulls and clams. The Griffith-Priday State Park parking lot has restrooms.

Pretty hike along the bluff, easy

This is a great hike. Prettiest we have found along this part of the Washington coast. Pretty meadows and a great beach.

Park at the Giffiths Priday Ocean State Park parking lot. You will need a Discovery Pass or pay $10 for the day. Walk towards the ocean. At the sign that says no beach access make a right into the brush. You will be walking along the Copalis river spit at this point. Watch your step near the high bank along the river. There have been washouts. Continue to weave along the shoreline until you reach a low bank area where you can walk onto the beach. We continued north along the beach until the tide stopped us from walking any farther. We only saw two other people along this route. Our dog was off leash the whole time with no issues. Lots of beachcombing to do if you are interested.
