A fun day hike for the family. Bring your bug repellent. The mosquitos are vicious. The views are well worth the minor inconvenience of insects.

Great trail! Good views on a clear day throughout the hike and beautiful lake. Didn’t make it to Anderson, but camped at Watson for one night. Beautiful surroundings with many little waterfalls on the far side of the lake. Snow on parts of the trail as of 07/07/18, but still able to see the right way to go. Got down to probably 35 degrees in the night.

As of 1.5 weeks ago the trail is still snowy for several miles & the lakes are frozen.

5/26/18 Road impassable by snow 1.9 miles from trailhead. I will be back later in the summee

Great easy hike to start the season. Late May and the trail was empty! Wild flowers were spectacular.

very short walk but through old growth forest. such big trees

the water is almost black but it's nice and warm.

good easy hike with nice river views

Great walk for families with young children. Brings you up close to the edge of the Skagit River. Also a bonus playground, bbq and toilet area located at the parking lot. If you wanted to make a day of it and have a picnic or bbq

Great easy trail with awesome views. There is bridge washout in the middle of the trails, but we crossed it without any problem.

A lot of ups and downs on a rooty, rocky trail but it was worth it! This was great. Lots of awesome dogs,
People and wild blueberries! It was a wonderful time!

Absolutely stunning! Definitely take the time to walk to the second lake of Watson Lakes; a quick hike from the first lake and well worth it. The entire hike is just fabulous!

Easy hike with little to no net elevation gain. Creeks passing through the trail were all dry due to the lack of rainfall recently... I suppose. Be sure to stop on the bridge .6 miles in as it offers the best views on the whole trip.

Love this hike! The beauty throughout this hike is picture perfect. My favorite

SUPER short lil trip to the springs, but I loved it! The road is truly horrible, I got 2 flat tires this day, just go slow like any other forest road! The nasty big ass horse flies were super gross but it's worth dealing with em! SO hot and relaxing! Met some rad people and very much enjoyed my experience, and my dog did too! :)

Views were beautiful, make sure to bring the strongest bug spray you feel comfortable using if you're going to actually head down to the lakes.

Gorgeous hike. The lake was warm enough for swimming. Bugs can be annoying.
Gravel road is ok.

This hot springs was cool if you never been to a Hot Springs, but in general it sucked. There were no signs leading up to the Hot Springs, the road was awful and had so many potholes.

Big asterisk on my hike. I went too early in the season (June of 2017). Absolutely beautiful but it wasn't as much of a hike....more of a labored trudge thru snow. Watson lake wasn't accessible unless you pack specifically for it during this season. Hard to enjoy the area because of how tired I was. I will probably return in July or August.

Lots of snow still, had to hike a mile or so to get to the actual trailhead. Made it to Anderson lake, didn't try to get up to Watson due to the snow and how tired we already were. I would wait a few more weeks before hiking this one.

This is a 3 mile hike that also had about 1 mile of ADA trails. There are a couple different interior routes you can take to make the trail longer than 3 miles. I took a group of 6 boys from our local Webelos Cub Scout Den. The old growth trees are beautiful. There is a stream and lots of interesting mosses, flowers and fauna.

super easy but fun little critters along the way

Did part of this yesterday. Saw a black bear, got spooked, and turned around. Will definitely come back.

G to last lake for most privacy and best camp spots! Beautiful lake, great mountain views all without too much effort (just equal effort on way in and out) . Lots of blueberries when in season! One downfall is lots of bugs.

It was absolutely gorgeous! The grounds were carefully tended, the views were breathtaking, and the bathrooms were well maintained! Could not ask for more.

Not the best for fishing but we may have just had a bad spot. This was still one of the best parks that we have been to!

Great hike for kids

Monday, August 15, 2016

This is an absolutely beautiful hike. The roads are good and the trail conditions are great. It would be a 5 star if not for the bugs. Take plenty of bug spray!
