I love this trail! Scenic (lots of trees ☺️) and easy for hiking or cycling in any season. If you start in Cle Elum, you can have a snack or lunch when you arrive in Roslyn. In winter, the snow can be deep, so cross country skis or snowshoes are best. Note: snowmobiles do use this trail.

Hiked this July 9th, trail in was clear but still a fair amount of snow at Rampart. The largest lake is still over half covered in snow/ice. Mesquites are out in force so take repellent. Warm during the day and not very cold at night. Water is crystal clear. I just absolutely love this place.

This hike is easily one of my favorites. Red Top lookout is windy! But the trails leading to Agate beds were beautiful and filled with wild flowers blooming. The trails are overgrown in some areas but I think that's from the lack of hikers the trail has seen this year. Definitely a dog friendly hike.

hiked Jun 17th, still a lot of snow towards the last mile of the trail. hard to see/locate the trail. have the map saved and bring bug repellent.

The lake was still frozen over but still gorgeous! We saw a couple mountain goats. (Note: No dogs allowed on trail! Poor goats were chased by a hikers dog on our way back) There were still a couple good streches of snow to pass but not too bad. It was a gorgeous day so lots of fellow hikers on the trail.

We did this as an overnighter on June 11-12, 2018. Such a fun trip with a friend. Snow free except for a little patch at the top. Didn’t stop to put our spikes on. Super steep to the peak! Gorgeous views. Unpacked and set up camp near the meadow and then summited to the peak with light packs. So cold up there but oh so beautiful!! Great water sources along the way! Tracked about 14 miles total to the peak and roaming around looking for a good camp site. This app recorder is slightly off on the trail, but nothing of concern. There were times we were clearly on the trail but the app path was more direct (and thus we had more mileage in the end). So I think that’s where the mileage discrepancy is between WTA/real mileage versus what All Trails says it will be. Plan for a little more. I feel like I will definitely do this one again! So memorable!!

Did a day hike with my dog yesterday to check out the status on rampart ridge. Rachel Lake is completely snow free and beautiful. As you climb up the ridge above Rachel, it is packed with a good 3-5 feet of snow. Tread carefully since a lot of hollow spots sit on large rocks. The ridge has a few patches and majority of the rampart lakes are still frozen. The snow is melting quickly though so hopefully there will be more ideal camping up there in the next month. Great moderate rated day hike for a healthy person in my opinion.

Loved it despite the lake was still frozen over. Expect to see mountain goats that can be fairly aggressive and this is why dogs are not allowed.

4 star hike with a 5 star view from the peak. Well maintained trail with nice views starting 500 feet below the pass and amazing views from the peak. Last half a mile from the pass to the peak is strenuous. Take the right at the split. Keep going right. Trail should be marked better as there are no signs of the trail that reference Navaho peak or pass. Main trail from the parking lot is called Stafford creek trail.

Amazing scenery. The lakes are still snowed in. Also the last have mile of trail before the snow has turned into a raging creek. There are also large creeks that must be crossed by wading through. Bring plenty of socks and changes of pants.

Once you break off from where the trail splits with the Ingalls Pass trail it is a moderate incline up to Fortune Creek Pass. Mostly snow free all the way to the pass. A few feet of snow still remains halfway up the side trail to Lake Ann. Great views.

Nice & easy little trail. Amazing views at the top.

This is one of the best hikes that I have been on. Starts off a bit steep but then once you are off the tree line and enter the clear its a walk in the most breath taking view a mountain can offer then it's a snow hike which we couldn't do because we didnt have the right gears. I enjoyed a lot on this hike. Didn't see a lot of hiker on the way. There are streams of water so that's a good thing.
Saw micro climate change started of sunny then cloudy drizzling in the mid section n snowing on top it was brilliant!
I am no serious hiker found this hike a little difficult but it's ok walk your pace and you should be fine. :)

Nice hike, heard there was 20-30 tents up there sat night, sort of crowded, five out so still scattered about. Trail dry, ten hrs up and down, taking my time. Nice day.

One of the prettier hikes I've been on all the way through. Elevation gain was pretty gradual most of the way up. The meadows and wildflowers, views of the creek and mountain ranges couldn't be beat. Just a little sad we didn't get to see more wildlife.

Great! Went backpacking for two nights. Got nibbled on by mosquitos within the first mile. Trail follows along the water for the first few miles; nice views; lots of little stream crossings. We got rained on durring the final mile, but it dried out long enough for us to set up camp along the outskirts of the meadow. Cool rock formations, small waterfalls, meadows and pine trees.

Hiked up to the peak the next morning. Huge views; beautiful, warm sunny day. Poles are handy for the steep stretch and small snowfield at the very end.

The weather forecast was correct..it was a chilly night and we woke up to a little snow on the ground. However, the trip down was snow free and sunny.

snow free, gradual incline and beautiful view of the enchantments. Got a nice sunny day.

Beautiful trek! Requires snow shoes, snow trek clothing and equipment.

No dogs. Not sure who comes up with these backwards policies.

Several miles on a steep incline gravel road but worth it!
Directions from the app took me to the wrong spot and there’s spotty service. My friend googled the hike and those directions worked for him.

Amazing hike. Like posts below mention when you get to the T’s (there will be 2 on the way up) take a right. I didnt have poles and made it up there but would recommend them.

Absolutely amazing hike up. The whole way is scenic and Navaho peak is an believable 360 degree view with miles of mountains west to be seen, Rainier, and many more. If you do this do not stop at the pass. Go right and go straight up to the peak, challenging if you're going to the pass you may as well go all the way to the peak because the view is on a whole different level. Trail was in overall good shape. Road was fine, did it in a Toyota Corolla. Snow fields going up to the peak, we brought boots but we didn't even change out of our trail runners. Just bring an extra pair of socks and you will be fine. Saw a grouse, lots of chipmunks/squirrels and so many different species of birds including what I believe to of been a Western Tanager. Trail is long though, do not underestimate it. We clocked 14 miles round trip and we were on the trail for about 10 hours including stops and taking in the views for an hour or so. Honestly up to the pass wasn't all that hard, but up to the peak was the hardest of all but worth it. The trek back down takes a long time and now you're fatigued so it seems to go on forever. Plenty of water sources on the trail as of today, only brought two water bottles that I kept filling up. There were also plenty of wildflowers blooming. Again amazing hike if you're up for the journey!

Hiking through meadows above Rachel and ascending the ridge to see Lila for the first time was one of the most magical moments I have ever experienced. The July (2017) sun warmed up the small lake nicely for refreshing and surprisingly comfortable swims. Couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Beautiful views of the Stuart Range and surrounding peaks (Rainier, Adams). Camped near the pass and hiked to the the peak in the morning. Windy at night so grab some rocks, poles are nice but no extra gear needed. Last mile is a leg burner - Great first backpack of the season!

Nice walking tail, 2nd time on is trail, a lot of horses (some ride must have been going on) this time. But plenty of room to share

Road and trail are completely snow free. The trail is steep but really short. As of 5/20 the stairs to get onto the lookout are still locked. View was amazing. Also Alltrails directions will take you to the wrong place, use WTA directions.

Too much snow for a small car to traverse once you hit the fork near the top. A truck or four wheel drive might have better luck, but frozen snow was quite high and scraping the bottom of our car. Needs a few more weeks.

it's actually 15.5 miles from parking to lake Lillian and back--not 8. hike was beautiful and got a little technical with a small boulder field and an unclear path within a half mile or less of lake Lillian. my suggestion is to head to Margaret lake and save yourself several miles for a very similar, if not more, beautiful view.

great views of Rainer on a clear day on your way up.
