A little smokey from the wildfires, and pretty windy throughout, but great views all along the way. Great workout climbing up, though it was dusty and slippery on the way down.

Heard one rattlesnake but did not see any.

2 rattle snakes but aside from this fun, quite a Peak to bag! 2700’ of gain in 4 miles. Not bad!

Definitely a challenge, but so rewarding.

Definitely one of the harder hikes I’ve done, but the views the whole way up were well worth it.

Beatiful views and wildflowers in abundance. Yes it is a bun burner!

A burner in more ways than one! Dress appropriately as you're sunbaked start to finish. Gorgeous views throughout.

Watch for snakes!

Really nice gentle hike. Took our senior dog and he enjoyed it. Trail is narrow with plant life trying to overtake it but overall is well maintained. Some lovely views of the lake as well. Really enjoyed this hike.

I do this hike at least once a week to keep my legs strong for other hikes outside my area. This hike has great views but the best part about it is the incline. Just remember to pack water and go as early as you can because it heats up fast.

Great morning hike/ride before the heat starts to set in. Amazing views from Elephant rock, good place to break for a drink and take in Mother Nature. Continue on to the top of the Butte a few more miles up, for the most amazing views in the valley. The ride down is fast and steep, mostly single track. It’s Worth the climb for the downhill.
Busy trail, but plenty of room for all✌️✌️✌️

Saw lots deer, and nature at its best.

Just hiked 2 miles up to elephant head and such a beautiful view! Would highly recommend this hike! No shade so could be toasty in the summer. Bring water for the pups!

This trail is in pretty good shape and offers beautiful views of the Chelan Valley and lake. It’s rated hard and most definitely difficult but our 12, 9, and 7 year old girls walked right up it with breaks. Great trail for the family!

We did this today as part of the park system’s Hike First campaign on the first of the year. It was an interesting trail in the snow! I have done it in the summer and didn’t find it as intriguing. The trail map does show how to add an extra loop extending it about another mile. We wore boots but you could also use skinny snow shoes.

Great workout with amazing views over Lake Chelan and the Columbia River.

Beautiful views. Worth the effort.

Some steep parts but worth it for the views. Bring plenty of water and electrolytes.

Hiked it the last 3-days in a row. 1st day via trail and the last 2-days... straight up!

Nice view at the end. Not good for kids but you can pack them along. It's not dangerous.

Very steep. If it's difficult for you to walk down long grades, maybe avoid this hike. The views are stunning.

We killed it! Went up on the steep left side and down on the right, it's very steep I would recommend wearing the right tracking shoes. The views are stunning when you get to the top.

Beautiful views of Chelan Lake, the Columbia River, many wildflowers, and one slightly nervous rattlesnake.

Fairly easy and straightforward. Beautiful vista during the entire hike. The 360 view at the top is breathtaking
