trail running

Thanks to everyone’s reviews I knew to be wary of getting lost so was watching for it. There were a couple of times when I wasn’t sure of where to go but the AllTrails map was pretty accurate. I really liked this path. Parts were pavement and parts were gravel. Parts were urban, fields, and middle of the woods. A few reviews said to go when it’s sunny out but today was gray and raining and it was very lovely. Completely level and well maintained.

Sooooo many berries.

beautiful hike, falls are dry right now though and you have to make some adjustments to the trails you take with the old man trail being closed.

Very pleasant and well-maintained trail. I got off path a couple of times but that’s likely my navigation problems rather than signage. A lot of inclines and several sections of steps. Would be slippery if the ground was wet I would guess. I went during a weekday midday and there was only one other person I ran across. Very quiet and lovely.

There was not necessarily a peak but a bench on the side of the path to look out beyond the trees. It was heavily shaded so not too much sunlight.

I parked where they suggested on the map, and the beginning of the trail was very hard to find. But once I found it, it was nice. Almost exactly 5 miles to the end of the bridge which is right at University of Washington if you want to bike around campus. There are 3 big hills in the first few miles, so prepare for that (not too bad if you downshift).

wildside trail

Place is free and perfect. What a gem of a public green space!

Nice trail, it was a bit buggy when I went. No view, but it is very beautiful. Not a lot of people, I only saw 2 people while I was there on a Sunday afternoon.

Either I'm in shape of this is not a moderate hike. That was a fast hour. On the way back you are on an access road. It's good to start out on.

Trail is well maintained. Beautiful and quiet. Klondike trail is connected to others. Create your own hike. All well marked.

Tons of mosquitoes . Be prepared for that . Look at the sign saying temporary parking . I missed the first time.

The first part of this trail is closed but there are trails that go around the closed section. The section that leads up to the peak has a steady incline, though there is no view at the top, just a bench for a rest. It rained in the morning, but the trail was still dry.

very enjoyable. lots of side tails.

Super easy! Super pretty, great view for a run! Better than that treadmill pic. Decent traffic but not crowded. Kids park nearby. Pups welcome. They love the ducks.

The plants are so beautiful here! Will definitely visit again.

old man's trail was closed and the views were disappointing. trail was very easy and not the moderate rating listed.

Heavily wooded, no viewpoints, decently easy trail though with lots of path options. 7.5 mi, 3 hours. Tons of mosquitoes, got stung by two super aggressive wasps. Nice hike though.

Very pleasant (and convenient) hike, green and shady. Surprisingly quiet given how close it is to roads, and not a lot of other people on the trail. Toward the end of our hike we even saw several woodpeckers!

Pretty cool trail for how close it is to the city. Nothing like the middle of the mountains. It was dry and not busy.

This is a great trail, and it can get your heart rate up. There’s not a lot of variation, but the trees are beautiful and it is VERY quiet and peaceful. I agree that it’s not well marked. Also, I went around 4 pm, and it was really, really buggy. So that’s something to keep in mind.

Not not much shape . It was so hot when it was 77Degree. Bonus . Blueberry farm was close by . We picked blueberry also. Very easy trail .

Quarry trail lots of ascent. Very rocky. Well maintained trail. Beautiful scenery. Fred's Railroad Trail quite easy. Well maintained as well. Cave Hole trail beautiful scenery and easy portion of trail. Overall very enjoyable hike!

These hikes on Cougar Mountain listed in AllTrails repeat themselves to some extent. I know I’ve hiked most of this path on another hike listed for Cougar Mountain. It’s a nice hike nonetheless and it’s nice to know there are several routes you can take. Part of the trail is still closed.
