Amazing hike! Very well maintained, amazing views along the way, and the tough hike worth it when you get to the top! We were lucky: no bugs, no rain, no clouds! Super recommended.

very balanced with up, down, and leveled sections. the waterfall was incredible. there are camp grounds along the way. if you plan to do the hole trail I recommend starting at 10 am or earlier. if you just want to see the waterfall then 12 pm is totally fine. incredible views. bring water. there are bathrooms at the start.

Wow! This hike leaves you breathless every step you take. We arrived at the trailhead at 6:30am and it was worth it! We saw the sunrise and were able to enjoy the quiet and stillness of morning without the crowds. The incline may be hard for others but there are plenty of places to stop and enjoy the view. The last mile or two to the top of the most difficult with narrow walk path and steep drops on the left side. Be very careful going through that area because one slip of your foot could be dangerous. The views at the top are like no other, and definitely worth the effort to get there!

One of the most beautiful hikes I’ve ever done. Don’t forget to take a camera. Wild flowers, squirrels and small streams, just the best. I’d definitely do it again and would camp this time.

Such a beautiful hike. The road to the hike is very well maintained. The hike is so beautiful. No bathroom at the trail head

The hike was amazing!! A little longer then the site says it is but well worth it for the views. The lookout tower has a lot of bugs in the sides the windows are closed to watch out for that. The last part of the hike is really steep just take your time on the way down and you will be fine.

Excellent pretty easy trail. Great long views, and a good portion of the walk is straight at Rainier.

Fair amount of uphill but absolutely worth it. Great moderate hike with lots of water.

Beautiful views along this trail! take a nice break at the lake before heading up to the fire lookout - it gets more challenging as you go on, but is well worth it!

Totally worth the hype if you go while the flowers are blooming. Bring bug spray and a swimsuit and swim shoes. Swimming in the lake was amazing but the bottom is super rocky. The firewatch lookout is wonderful, but packed with people. Ranger was really friendly.

Camped at Mowich Lake the night prior, so I left from the campground instead of the trailhead (adds about a mile). Once you make the turn at the pass for for Eunice/Tolmie, it’s a bit annoying as you lose some elevation and you know you’re going to have to go back up to get out. Flies and mosquitoes were out in full-force in the meadows around Eunice Lake. The final mile up to the lookout is pretty relentless, but the view from up there is so worth it. Plus a couple of marmots!

Love the views from this trail. A very manageable trail that provides a taste of the backcountry with easy parking and accessibility.

I would like to climb and summit this mountain next year. Anybody that would like to summit with me? kevinosabuohien@yahoo.com

Great rainy day hike, covered by trees for a lot of the journey. Good fun and the waterfalls are beautiful. We had intended to do the Skyline Trail but with wet weather/fog/very overcast day the ranger suggested this one instead and we’re glad she did.

This is an amazing hike! Recommend doing it clockwise for an incredible view of the mountain while going down hill. We did see some bear scat at some places.

Hiked the Glacier Basin Trail with a side trip up the Emmon's Moraine on 9-6-19. Started up the trail from White River campground around 7:30am. The weather was cool and cloudy. As we were hiking along the ridgeline on the Emmon's Moraine trail, a rain shower swept down off the mountain and soaked us pretty good. But it wasn't a very cold rain, so it was no real problem.  The last mile of the Glacier Basin Trail is rather strenuous, so if you're looking for an easier and shorter alternative, stick with the Emmon's Moraine trail. The sun started breaking through the clouds around noon and we finished our in-and-out hike at 1:15. The White River campground was packed in the morning, but we encountered very few hikers along the way. Great exercise on a great trail with beautiful scenery!

Very crowded on a Saturday but very pretty. Very easy hike, almost more of a walk than anything, easy for the whole family to go and get out

What an amazing hike to Tolmie Lookout! Although it was foggy and raining...we made it to the top! The road in to the trail is rough but most cars can make it. The trail is in EXCELLENT condition and signs to guide you. The last mile is grueling but push through it. For the most part this is an easy trail... no pets!

This hike was epic! Harder than I thought, probably because you have to go up and down and up and down to reach the third Burroughs. The extra hills are totally worth it. Once you’re at the third, you feel like you could reach out and touch rainier! I did this hike solo; came in just under 10 miles and 4 hours with a break for lunch. Very very windy so hold on to your gear!

This trail was AMAZING! It was well- kept and ran along the water the entire time, opening up in places to view the raging waters and stop for a rest. It wasn’t very difficult, but it was a progressive climb and we kind of hurried up so we breaked a few times to catch our breath. The view about 250 yards from the actual waterfall makes you think you made it. But up around the corner is the actual falls and SO INCREDIBLE. The walk up had me giddy like a little kid, just in total awe. It was a warm day so we sat where the water was misting on our faces while we ate our snacks. I didn’t want to leave, this hike is just perfect!
