Beautiful casual hike but I don’t recommend trying to loop it. Next time we’ll stay on the main trail and hike it as an out and back. Everyone is right. It’s a poorly marked trail and can be frustrating if trying to loop.
Still worth it though!

Uphill but paths are nicely maintained. It takes about 30 minutes to get from the parking lot to the Sugarloaf viewpoint.

Hike really beautiful but a portion of trail overgrown, full if bandit trails which you can easily to get lost and some parts are dangerous. This hike made me almost uninstall this app.

Took my daughter on this hike and it was doable for a 10-year old. The last part of the trail up to the top of Erie is a bit tricky for the less experienced. Also, as others have said, the trail system can be very confusing if you have not been on the trail before. Views were good, but not great because of smoke/haze.

Beautiful views but terrible trail marking. We went clockwise around the loop, and somehow ended up going an extra mile up and down some rock scrambles that brought us to water and a cliff face about 3/4 around the loop. Oops. We had to back track. Would love if the park could mark the trail a bit better.

Busy in the morning time. Super easy.

Beautiful easy hiking nearby.

Lots of elevation gain. Many options and view points.

One of my favorite hikes. The views you get are amazing. We were blessed with abundant sunshine today and it was breathtaking.
We started at the Rosario head trail and made our way to lighthouse point. We read the reviews saying that the north side of lighthouse point was dangerous and we thought we were avoiding it but we didn’t. We made it down an extremely steep bank to a rocky beach and ended up having to turn around and head back the way we came. AVOID THE NORTH END. It is definitely not safe. If we didn’t have so many little kids with us, we would have seriously considered swimming back to the main shore to avoid the going up the bank we came down. Even with that scary part of the hike we all loved it and would definitely do it again. All the kids loved it. We had around 20 kids in our group ranging from 1 to 12 and they all did great.

Beautiful hike with few people this morning. Sun came out on the southern point for a great view.

Be careful. If you try to go around the whole loop it gets too extreme on the north part of the Loop. I would recommend doing the southern half of the loop ie cut across the middle of the island. The trail on the app should be marked the same as the state park map. Definitely not moderate for the trail marked on the app. We had to back track and could not complete the trail as indicated on the app.

beautiful trail. watch the offshoot on the lighthouse trail, this fork isn't obvious for which is the official trail and which lands you on a goat trail that's pretty gnarly

Beautiful hike with lots of view points and various campsites near by. The hike itself is pretty easy but be sure to bring bug spray because I came home with lots of bites. Lots of spider webs to run into as well. Try to go early to avoid crowds. By the time we left at 9 am the parking lot was full.

Very easy trail with astonished by views of deception pass. Is not super known since most people focus on the other side of the pass. Quite magnificent and good for all skills. There is no lighthouse :-)

There is a nice view from the top making the uphill trek worth it.

Nice morning hike. Saw an eagle, and enjoyed a private beach.

Not well marked, but a really beautiful hike. As a beginner and a hiker of size not the best hike (lots of elevation and very skinny trails) but so much fun and again very beautiful.

great hike as always !!!!

Fairly easy hike with great views of the water. The weather couldn't have been more perfect for us. The sun was out for about an hour then we got nice cloud coverage. Our pup loved this hike along with the north beach one and Goose Rock summit.

Hiked 1100 12May2018, Mothers Day. Very busy at thr top and at thr lower parking lot but quiet up the hill. Trail is always well maintained but can be a little confusing if you don't pay attention. We always just stay on 215 to 228 which should take you to the top. Its a pretty steep grade to the top if you're not in the best of shape but definitely doable. A decent amount of wildflowers but nothing crazy that i saw. Always a nice short hike with gorgeous views of the San Juans, Olympics and Cascades. highly recommended

I really enjoyed most parts of this hike. The only negative being how confusing some areas were. I’m glad I had this app to track myself because I’d probably still be lost in the woods somewhere. I started at the trailhead at 7 AM on a Wednesday and there was only one other car there. On the way down there still weren’t many people. I have a feeling this place gets crowded though, so get there early!

short to medium hike. Low to medium elevation gain. Not a particularly well marked trail but not hard to figure out. 3.5 star view point at the end.

Beautiful easy hike although the trail loop on the maps here is out of date as lighthouse point trail around north side of the outlet is currently very overgrown and dangerous in some places. Path now cuts through the middle next to a big hollow tree. Fantastic views and scenery the whole hike.

beautiful views but super narrow trails and not marked well, I recommend downloading offline maps/directions.

as for the trail; there's is not lighthouse anymore and all mosses at the top of the island, be careful with footing. My kiddos were able to hike up and my suggestion is great hiking shoes with grip!

Easy trail for the whole family. Beware ferry traffic and tulip traffic (we went in mid-April).

Just like all the other's have mentioned.... great views, great wildlife, very enjoyable hike....could be a bit slick in spots.

Beautiful hike, but note you cannot complete the loop as the map indicates. Also, they might want to rename the island to Green reflector point as there is NO lighthouse there any longer. Beautiful hike with many water views. Only real challenging part of the trail is where it’s obviously no longer maintained and had to turn back

Great views, wildflowers were blooming, saw seals even! Trail is a bit slick and muddy in spots.

Wish it was better marked but LOvED this hike! Beautiful scenery and fun for all

Nice easy trail. we will be back to fish soon.
