I would do it again, but worth taking a longer loop and avoiding that road section. It’s pretty bad right where the road hugs the bank.

Great walk for the whole family. There is even a portapotty by the rv Park if someone needs to go. Lots of benchs along the way, placed in ideal locations for the best views.

Not sure why this is labeled “moderate”? It’s a really flat, easy, walking trail. Beautiful views along the water. Locals walk their dogs on this trail. Lots of wildlife. Saw an osprey today. Have seen eagles also. When tide is out, a sandy beach fun for kids. There is a parking area within the housing development, just keep driving west and down to the water on Edwards Way. Or a small parking area at Kansas Ave with stairs leading down to trail.

Easy walk (I wouldn’t call it a hike). Great views, got to see some sea otters and some birds. Easy for all levels. Make sure to arrive early to get a parking spot

I agree with the previous reviews. Poorly marked after the 3/4 (lighthouse)mark. Turn around there and go back the way you came. Pretty scenery and views.

Dont take all loop, you lost your way. I recommend you to go through the lighthouse point loop.

We took a half of this trail. We parked the car on RV park, there is a parking place for walkers. This trail is super cool for inline skating, but I didnt see any. In our country is in line skating very popular and this trail would be full of people. We also saw a seals and from this trail you see the Baker mt. and the industrial park (rafinery). A star minus, you hear a noise from the road.

this is a great trail I trail run and it was well groomed not alot of roots and easy to follow.

Nice hike and views for 3/4 of trail. The last 1/4 the trail disappeared and was very difficult to find a way out. This app helped! Next time I would do 3/4 to the point and backtrack.

Great little hike. Nice views of the bridge. We had read the previous reviews and did not attempt to hike around the perimeter. For families, you still need to watch little hikers near a few points along the edges.

The mountain biking is closer to moderate than easy but doable for our whole family and really fun! Warning...it’s a bit confusing following the trails but getting lost isn’t a big deal since it’s just a series of intertwining loops and connector trails. Anacortes bike shop has a detailed map (even though no one at the shop has actually mountain biked there). Cranberry lake is a beautiful little lake!

Beautiful casual hike but I don’t recommend trying to loop it. Next time we’ll stay on the main trail and hike it as an out and back. Everyone is right. It’s a poorly marked trail and can be frustrating if trying to loop.
Still worth it though!

Uphill but paths are nicely maintained. It takes about 30 minutes to get from the parking lot to the Sugarloaf viewpoint.

I don’t know if it was just me, but I had some trouble finding where to start on this trail. Essentially, you start by a Porta Potty. I had to have the trail map open in this app to make sure I was in the right path, but once I got going it was pretty straight forward!

Hiking by a lake in the summer is ideal because I can take a dip while stopping for lunch. I would say go for it!

Hike really beautiful but a portion of trail overgrown, full if bandit trails which you can easily to get lost and some parts are dangerous. This hike made me almost uninstall this app.

Took my daughter on this hike and it was doable for a 10-year old. The last part of the trail up to the top of Erie is a bit tricky for the less experienced. Also, as others have said, the trail system can be very confusing if you have not been on the trail before. Views were good, but not great because of smoke/haze.

As a beginner to running I found the hills challenging but the trail was paved and simple for me to follow. Great views.

Easy, plenty of places to wander! Beautiful views

Beautiful views but terrible trail marking. We went clockwise around the loop, and somehow ended up going an extra mile up and down some rock scrambles that brought us to water and a cliff face about 3/4 around the loop. Oops. We had to back track. Would love if the park could mark the trail a bit better.

Busy in the morning time. Super easy.

A good little leg burner to a stunning views of West (Cascades) South (Mt Erie) and East (Islands and Olympic Peninsula). I’ve read it’s a 1000 feet elevation, and it’s fairly steep in some sections, but relatively do able for most people. Views from the top can’t be beat. Go at sunrise for epic light.

Beautiful easy hiking nearby.

Warning. Access to the trail is no longer available from the marina. If you can walk your bike down a couple of flights of stairs along a forest trail and down three more flights of stairs, you'll be rewarded with a great little paved path that's quite wide and has great views of the Guemes Channel. It will end at the beach next to the Ferry Terminal.
Or just ride to the terminal and ride onto the path... out and back is about 3 miles.

Lots of elevation gain. Many options and view points.

One of my favorite hikes. The views you get are amazing. We were blessed with abundant sunshine today and it was breathtaking.
We started at the Rosario head trail and made our way to lighthouse point. We read the reviews saying that the north side of lighthouse point was dangerous and we thought we were avoiding it but we didn’t. We made it down an extremely steep bank to a rocky beach and ended up having to turn around and head back the way we came. AVOID THE NORTH END. It is definitely not safe. If we didn’t have so many little kids with us, we would have seriously considered swimming back to the main shore to avoid the going up the bank we came down. Even with that scary part of the hike we all loved it and would definitely do it again. All the kids loved it. We had around 20 kids in our group ranging from 1 to 12 and they all did great.

Beautiful hike with few people this morning. Sun came out on the southern point for a great view.

Be careful. If you try to go around the whole loop it gets too extreme on the north part of the Loop. I would recommend doing the southern half of the loop ie cut across the middle of the island. The trail on the app should be marked the same as the state park map. Definitely not moderate for the trail marked on the app. We had to back track and could not complete the trail as indicated on the app.

beautiful trail. watch the offshoot on the lighthouse trail, this fork isn't obvious for which is the official trail and which lands you on a goat trail that's pretty gnarly

Great views. Lots of cars today. We’d definitely go again.

Beautiful hike with lots of view points and various campsites near by. The hike itself is pretty easy but be sure to bring bug spray because I came home with lots of bites. Lots of spider webs to run into as well. Try to go early to avoid crowds. By the time we left at 9 am the parking lot was full.
