WalkingGreat!

Great trail! Pretty empty on a weekday morning. Nicely marked with square wooden posts with pink tape wrapped around the top.

Quick ride to the bridge and back on gravel and then a paved path.

Not many people at all in the trails. Much was closed off because of the recent rains but incredibly gorgeous!

Nice, well maintained. I recommend detouring onto the Azalea trail instead of the road as marked. A rare non-muddy walk!

Nice breezy walk. Parts are paved mostly but also areas around the exhibits that are unpaved pathsin the vegetation. Pretty flower fields and the Columns views.

Nice path - We walked the stretch between Key Bridge and Lock 6. Lots of nice side trails and river views. We also had a stroller - not as smooth as an asphalt path but honestly not that bad (a little bumpy because of the gravel). But it's totally doable with a sturdy stroller. There was moderate bike traffic but it was still a nice walk for all of us.

Nice trail, get here early. We veered to the Azalea garden that is in the hill to get a better workout. It was forested and quieter.

This hike is a gem! You get some hiking by the creek and crossings over the Rapids and Boulder Bridges. A few uphills but nothing long. Shady. Not too crowded.

Went with two 6-year-olds. Both got literally stuck in the mud! Fun but dirty and unable to finish the trail. Honestly, there was a ton of mud and I would have turned around if it was just me as well. Some nice animal sightings including a lizard with an electric blue tail. We’re hoping to revisit when it’s a bit dryer.

Pleasant along the creeks, rather steep and difficult along the short stretch of Western Trail. The Hazen Trail might be interesting for children.

Heritage island was extremely flooded and muddy on the East side. And very overgrown in sections. There is planking but not enough and it just ends at a deep, muddy puddle (see my pictures). Muddy water came in over the top of my boots. Kingman island has a very wide pathway where some bikes were touring. Unfortunately it appears neglected. There is a native flower area towards the end of the island with a walkway that is barely visible and barely passable. of the 12 native flowers on the placard, only black eyed Susan was visible and choked with weeds. Unfortunate as it appears to have been beautiful once. The parking is the old RFK lot and full of garbage and broken glass. Still worth going though. Parts were beautiful. Large decked areas that overlook the water.
