Rode my TREK Powerfly 5 from the 64th entrance along the Raptor and Cape Henry Trail to the boat ramp and back. It’s a beautiful area with excellent birding and easy access to salt water marshes and shoreline beaches. Lots of shade trees.

Osprey trail is NOT for biking, just hiking. Bike is allowed only on Cape Henry trail.

Thy trail was pretty busy on both ends, with a lot of people not paying attention to their surroundings. As far as biking goes, this trail is okay. The first few miles from the trail center were nice, but then back half had spots that were pretty sandy for a bike, and the view changed from quiet nature ride to beach party-ish. Suggested trail edits to correspond with the trail map available through the State Park (and actual park signage), which has the trail turning towards Broad Bay with a total trail distance of 6.1 miles (http://www.dcr.virginia.gov/state-parks/document/data/trail-guide-firstlanding.pdf)

First Landing Park trails, in their entirety, are great way to spend your entire day. For the most part, they're all flat trails, with the only challenge coming in their length depending on how much you prefer to walk. Be sure to pick up a park map from the trail Center. It's worth noting that there's also a parking pass fee ranging from $5 to $10 depending on the time of year.

Good trail, generally has less people than the rest of the park. (it's the farthest from any parking)

Great bike ride! We took our kids and they are not strong bikers, but had a great time. Heard the frogs, saw the woodpeckers and the swamps. A little crowded on a Saturday in March, but still room to ride. Decent elevation changes for controlled coasting and mild hill climbs.

Great for dogs

Great trail

Nice and safe area to take a daily walk. But you have to share area with dog walkers and there is poop galore. watch where you walk or run.

This is a nice trail the water is beautiful and give off a nice breeze. However this trail has a lot of roots and should not be considered wheelchair friendly (not that we were using one just for reference)

I tagged this onto the Osmanthus Trail. Lovely walk that takes you through swamps, forests, and beachside. This would be an easy trail run. Highly trafficked, but there are numerous benches strategically placed along the water portion that provide a peaceful view and some privacy. Definitely a good place to think. I wasn't too excited about the Cape Henry Trail stretch as it is more road-like than trail with a lot of biker and runner traffic, so I used it as an excuse to pick up my leisurely pace to a quick-walk back to the parking lot.

Rode my bike from 64th street entrance to Shore Drive entrance and back ... roughly 7 miles ... nice smooth trail ...

Very nice trail, always see people on it but it's never too crowded. Saw a bald eagle first time on this trail so I'll definitely be back!

This trail was so nice, even on a cloudy day like it was. Not too many people considering it was a Saturday, and we only went a little while down. My friend and I brought our dogs too, and they loved it! I loved the part with the little bridge path!

Hiked the trail Dec. 24, 2017. A good trail for beginner, like myself. Great views of the lake and surrounding homes.

Trails are closed from Nov. 1 - March 31. The beach is still open and the loop at the very beginning, but no real trails during that period.

I love going here. there are not many places in Virginia Beach to walk, but Mount Trashmore is 1. The View at sunset is amazing. very enjoyable place to go

Mountain biking is a stretch to describe this trail. It does have some very pleasant views, especially once you get to "the narrows" section.

Mostly flat but you can make it fun if you get creative

Would be perfect if it wasn't for the geese and their droppings on certain parts of the trail.

Fun trail, cool scenery. Was able to bike this trail with my 10 year old daughter.

Very nice, well kept trail. Some cool cypress swamps along sides and Spanish moss hanging from trees. Basically flat the entire length and excellent footing. Could run 2-3 abreast if you wanted. Multiple side trails you could take to mix things up or make longer. Able to run this trail as fast as you'd like without issue or worry about footing. Would definitely run it again.

Long, but nice way to feel like you're out of the city...

Kinda boring after a while, but nice wide well kept trail for running. Can get busy esp during weekends. I still prefer the less traveled more varied trails that you can catch off of this one. But it gives you a nice path to get to those trails!

Nice trail but lots of sounds of planes and some kind of machinery near by. The section walking along the water was beautiful in late afternoon
