Expected some mud, but it was really bad in places. Would definitely go back again in better conditions. still had a nice family hike and got the BOB stoller through.

It was muddy but still a great trail. It took a bit to find the trail entrance.

Some areas were paved but most were not.

Great loop around Accotink Lake

Great local trail for a walk with my dog. He loved having a water option and I loved how quiet and peaceful it was for where it is.

This trail is amazing! Would be best hiked in the summer-fall weather. However, the views are gorgeous! Very popular trail with lots of visitors. Highly recommend!

one of my favorite trails closed to home.

I love this park and this walk. It’s the perfect length and it’s a lovely view.

Lovely trail, a bit crowded though. The lake views are pretty. It can be very muddy at places.

Enjoyed the walk. Easy trail. Plenty of ppl around so not really recommended for a silent walk. Only some parts are paved, a bit muddy, its better for walking than jogging. At the end had to step in water at the path in front of the dam and get my sneakers soaked but we were near the parking lot so got dry in the car right away.

Just what my family was looking for. stroller friendly, not too long, not too short, not too challenging. The lake was beautiful and my son enjoyed the playground at the end.
My only complaint was that only one restroom was open and it was the men's and it was disgusting, and not stocked with tp or soap.
Like others have said, it would have been better had it not gone through the residential area.
Overall, enjoyed the hike and would do it again!

Great trail for running, biking, walking, and bird watching. Some off chute trails for the ambitious. Flat in some places and uphill in some. Reverse direction and get a different feel.

Great trail for a level run. The loop is close to five miles long and offers a nice hardwood forest setting. In the fall it can be colorful and vibrant.

Nice alternative to Burke Lake. Saw a few joggers and folks with dogs - not crowded at all. Paved trails, nice views, waterfowl. Very enjoyable.

Beautiful 5 miles loop around the lake. The walk is easy and on asphalt.

Easy and pretty. Just make sure you check the path in front of the dam for flooding before heading out or this becomes a 7+ mile out-and-back! Whoops!

great scenery, loop is perfect for a nature walk

Loved the side trails. Beautiful! Went on a weekday and there were few people.

I run here all the time. Great trail that’s mostly flat and wide enough for multiple people. Perfect family trail and the marina has a carousel and mini golf in the summer.

Nice easy trail along the creek. Difficult if you want to run it because of roots. Well worth it. But not marked real well.(blaze)

If you have iffy knees this loop is great. Very little asphalt mostly dirt and sand. If you are a trail runner great beginning for better things.

Went around the loop with my dog, yellow to green to blue. Closer to the Nature Center the paths are obvious, but once you get down into it they can get really overgrown and indistinguishable from the rest of the woods, and it's easy to wind up off the trail as you're trying to find it. This becomes most problematic around the Green path, where there are signs noting a Deer Management Archery Program in progress from Sept 8, 2018 - Feb 23, 2019 with a note to stay on established trails. Otherwise, all the cover was nice and the river is lovely, but make sure to bring plenty of bug spray. The paths are really slick when wet.

It would have been a great trail if it did not go through the townhomes. It was a great walk though.

Nice little loop with some attached single track and the Cross County Trail.

Great trail! We took our kids (ages 7, 5 and 4) who all rode bikes and rode the entire trail! Only a small portion at the beginning was paved (asphalt), the rest was a well established trail (dirt). We'll definitely be returning!

Half paved so if biked, use off road tires. only 2 sets of restroom facilities both on the same and of trail. Wide trail. Enjoy!

This little haven in the middle of Fairfax is the nicest place you can get away to with just driving 10-15mins from home. We enjoy every time we come here. Mostly for walking, fishing, and biking. Its open year round.
