Natural Bridge, Virginia Map

Awe inspiring...a sleeping beauty!

The Natural Bridge is absolutely beautiful and so easy to get to. Just 130+ stairs and a short walk to incredible beauty. Continue on for a leisurely walk along the river, on a wide path and eventually to a 3 tiered waterfall, which is so mild and gently flowing. What a lovely Park to visit and if you have time to take in the Caverns too, I highly recommend.

Beautiful trail easy to traverse. There's lots of scenic places for photos. There are a lot of steps at the beginning but there is a van that takes you to the beginning of the trail. Once you get to the trail there's some inclines but not a lot. Not to bad if your elderly. The Natural Bridge is at the beginning of the trail. The whole trail is a little over 2 miles. A lot of nice scenery for a short hike.

Great hike to see an amazing attraction. I recommend getting there early, since the crowds get large later in the day.

Very busy trail that passes under the natural bridge, past some caves, by a Native American interpretive village and alongside a river ending at a waterfall. Begins at the Visitors Center at the State Park. Fee and dog friendly.

Great little hike for kids and adults alike, the trail is well maintained and easy to navigate. I highly suggest following the self-guided pamphlet that you will receive when you purchase tickets to the park. Natural Bridge was impressive, as was the Monacan exhibit, and the waterfall at the end of the trail. We went in the summer and I would suggest bug spray and sunscreen. Also, be aware of your surroundings as we did see a snake along the path.

A very cool natural wonder.

Nice trail for entire family...

Just as an FYI don't forget to pay for your ticket which is $8 for adults at in information center(before entering). But well worth the fee. Its an easy walk to the bridge. Beyond the bridge you'll walk along a decent size creek/river filled with beautiful rock formation. There are a few areas to explore on you walk. At the end of the trail you will find a pleasant surprise.

Most scenic trail I've ever seen!
Beautiful place for a wedding too!

A great easy hike to stretch our legs on a long drive. My dog was the only dog on the trail and he enjoyed getting all the attention from everyone else. The bridge is beautiful and the area is well cared for.

Park at 37* 37.722'N and 079* 32.602'W and enter the Natural Bridge State Park building. Go straight in to the ticket counter and buy the $8.00 ticket (no discounts). Turn left and walk down the long staircase and out the back door on the bottom level then continue walking back to the "Stairways Entrance to Natural Bridge". Go down the steps and at the bottom a ranger will take your ticket, sign it, and return it to you. This is the start of the Cedar Creek Trail. In one minute you'll see the natural bridge, which is far more massive than these pictures show. You can get excellent photographs from both sides of the arch. The trail follows Cascade Creek. If you have children they'll enjoy seeing all of the fish in the creek, which are fairly easy to spot. Along the way back to Lace Falls (one mile walk with very mild upgrade) you'll encounter an early settlement exhibit, a saltpeter mine, the lost river (small cave with a river that can't be traced), and pleasant views of the creek. If you're there just for the natural bridge you'll see it about 10 minutes after buying your ticket. Spend some time there to take it all in. I recommend taking in all of the sights back to the falls (since you paid to do it) and it's such an easy walk. The trail is flat and smooth all the way back to the falls and it has numerous spots where children can explore the creek so this trail is great for strollers and wheelchairs.

super easy, fun trail with a lot to see. first is the natural bridge which is awesome, George Washington's initials carved into the side of the bridge, the monican Indian village and lace waterfall at the end of the trail. some nearby spots to visit are the caverns, zoo, a safari park and a dinosaur themed attraction. There's also a styrofoam life sized version of stonehenge in the area. the area makes for a great day trip.

This is Virginia's newest park, with the state just taking over the running of the national historic landmark in 2016. It was once owned by Thomas Jefferson, and George Washington supposedly carved his initials on the arch wall while surveying the area in 1750 (look for the rectangular outline on the opposite side 23 feet up)! The two mile paved and gravel round trip along Cedar Creek is easy and very scenic. Be sure to make it to the end to see Lance Falls.

Beautiful view with a hike that is very easy
The waterfall at the end is nice but the best part is definitely the natural bridge

Easy walk

Nice, scenic walk along a beautiful creek. The natural bridge rock formation is breath taking and the falls at the end of the trail are very nice. The Indian village is interesting and informative too! Definitely worth the $8 admittance fee.

beautiful place with lots of history and a visitors center/gift shop. but it is $8 to get in and is a very short easy walk. worth it to see it but not much of hike. just a few minute detour off interstate 81.

We hiked all week on advanced trails and the last day in the area was very hot. We were tired and sore but didn't want to sit at the camp ground in high temps and sweat, so we chose this trail and sights at natural bridge. It was a relaxing outing where we could take it in without using trek poles and camel backs. Wish we were allowed to cross the water and climb to the top of the bridge! There's a natural bridge park in Kentucky where you can climb and cross the natural bridge, we sort of expected that here. All in all, great place

It was wonderful views and not many people for such a nice Sunday, didn't realize you had to pay ($8) though until we got there
