An amazing hike for elderly people as well as any couple that just want to get away for a few hours of serenity. This Trail is also wheelchair-friendly.

A wonderful, easy trail that is paved and ends up at a great overlook. In and out on this short trip, or you can take some time to scramble over rocks for some more great views. Worth the trip.

Easy but can find plenty of off trail rock scrambling if you’re up for it. Absolutely beautiful

Easy trail out and back. Wooden bridge, paved trail, and metal landing make this trail an ideal option for the elderly, kids, and individuals who require handicap accessible trails. Gorgeous view of Luray and parts of the valley. There are plenty of side trails and climbs off of the main trail. Also, plenty of spots to sit and rest if needed.

Amazing view! A steel balcony to view mountains from. Nice place to have lunch with steel benches.

Nice easy trail with great views.

Amazing views for an easy trail. Lots of small trails off of the main one, if you wish to explore a little bit. A few other views available to the left and right of the main overlook

All paved, it was a beautiful way to see Luray. highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice stroll, very accessible

Got the the park late because of traffic twice from NC and they had already closed. Hiked 2.5 miles down to the river and setup my tarp/hammock. Stormed all night but I loved it, didn't get wet at all. Bright green moss everywhere, steep downhill, river /stream with nice flow, nicely marked trails. 2 other camping parties, one small group tent camping and one in Corbin cabin but otherwise didn't see anyone. Nice wildlife, saw a hawk, white trailed deer, and even a black & white spotted salamander.

Nice easy hike for children or the elderly. My 4 year old loves playing on the rocks and exploring around the woods. Amazing view from the overlook.

incredible view but it's not a hike. i was on a long road trip down I-81 and this was not far off the highway. good spot to get out and stretch your legs. incredible view for not that much work.

Very easy, nicely paved trail to a platform with a great overlook. While the trail itself may be less than a mile, there are so many off-shoots and places to climb and crawl over rocks to see different perspectives that you can make it as long of a hike as you’d like! Highly recommend this trail - especially if you have a group of people with different ability/experience.

Cute trail. Made for families and grandparents. Wear your flip flops.

Great gentle trail at less than a mile (out and back) with forrest cover the entire way. Wear your flip-flops or bring the grand parents as this paved path has no elevation gain to speak of. The viewing platform at the end opens up a spectacular vista over the valley across to the mountains of Shenandoah National Park. The day we were there featured a large gathering of hawks riding the thermals in front of us. Our kids (4 and 2 1/2) loved it, particularly the rock piles that dot the trail and are easy climbs for kids to scramble around. This is a great little trail if you are into views or have young kids you want to get enthused about being outdoors.

Great trail. Absolutely amazing view.

It was a good hike definately some big climbs, but water was available, well marked, pretty challenging climbing up to the blue ridge parkway, views would have been better without the fog and rain but it was great.

Take your camera, no hiking boots needed. Sandals preferred. Beautiful Views!

This is such a beautiful drive. The scenes are just magnificent. Its extra beautiful during the fall with all the leaves changing.

Views were hit and miss over the holiday weekend with the storms, ..but where they were there, very hard to beat anywhere on the east coast.

Short easy walk to a very beautiful overlook with lots of sandstone, limestone and shale and white pine trees. One of the most beautiful places we visited

Nice little trail, but it was poorly maintained with branches over the path and a lot of thorns snagging your ankles. Perhaps it will be better taken care of in the more popular months.

Tryin to decide north to sout or visa a versa ?? Any comments

My buddy and I took a long weekend and tackled this section of the AT as our first trip. A good amount of diversity among the trail, some awesome views, and a great first hike. Highly recommend!
