Very nice beach! Relatively spacious for kids to run and play. And it is safe! There are cops and lifeguards that will quickly come if someone is in danger. There is a place to cookout, a big field with plenty of shade and places to play volleyball. And as I was leaving it seems that they were going to start some live music. Only thing I would warn is to not go into the water unless your putting your feet in or sitting right next to the riptide. The water is pretty dirty and I was instructed it is not meant for people especially kids to swim out too far.

The trail is completely paved, and mostly shaded. It surrounds a golf course and offers plenty of scenery. Great for running or walking, and is pet and stroller friendly.

This was more of a paved walkway than a trail. It circled a golf coarse. There was some nice wooded scenery and a pretty lake. There were quite a few people out walking, running, and others with their dogs. Two big negatives for me was the constant loud overhead jet sounds (it’s right by Langley Air Force base) and there was a ton of poison ivy along the path. Overall a nice day out but probably won’t do again.

We had an amazing time. It was an overcast breezy day but no one was on the beach. Parking is free. The trail takes you up and down the beach. There is a portion that says private but no one was out soooo we just kept going without issues. Not one complaint.

Good trail. two problems. It's right beside the interstate so you hear cars constantly. It's also right across the interstate from the biggest trash dump on the peninsula so you will smell garbage half the time you are there. That said, I love the trail and the park.

I will also day that some of these reviews are a bit misleading. This is the main trail at the park, but a lot of people seem to be taking side trails and reviewing this one as if they are the same trail (commenting on roots etc). this is a very easy trail and only consists of the loop around the wetlands, it doesn't go into the woods proper.

Not bad except for the highway being right next to you.

Trail is 3 miles for the marked part and another .3 running through the parking lot from one start/finish to the other. Not 4.4 as advertised. Good trail with slight hills. Decent amount of traffic both ways.

Nice place to walk.
For a small stretch , you can hear cars.

Beautiful ducks. Nice place to walk.

The trail was easy to follow and pretty flat. There were lake views and was mostly wooded. I gave it 3 stars for several reasons. It was crowded and the people did not seem friendly. I prefer more rural trails. Most of the trail is next to a very busy and loud highway. There’s also a lot of loud overhead jet noise. The other side of the trail backs up to peoples homes. And there are apparently rattle snakes although I didn’t see any. I wasn’t aware we even had rattle snakes in this area. It was a nice length though. They did have a dog park which was empty but I wouldn’t use it based on the unfriendliness of the people there. I don’t think we’ll be doing this one again.

This is a 3.0 mile loop trail with each quarter mile marked on the paved path and a mile marker at each mile signifying the mile in both directions. There is also a paved shortcut option that will knock about a .25 mile off the distance if your getting tired.

It was hard for to find a map of the park. I actually got lost and had to pull up my all trails app to find someone else's trail gps they did.... after I finally found it, it was a pretty run... there are a lot of roots on some parts though...

Can be run in less than half an hour. Walks can take an hour or more.

Scenery is nice for a majority of the way.

For about a quarter of a mile, you get close enough to the highway to catch a whiff of the exhaust produced by the cars. This messes with my breathing.

Despite this, I still chose this as my preferred trail and run it every day after work!

nice place to run and bring family

Great easy trail. Saw lots of wildlife. Trail is a little load along the road sections, but I would definitely walk it again.

Well paved trail with easy mile markers throughout. Doesn't feel as much like a trail as a long jogging path, but the golf course is well maintained and you can spot plenty of deer in the fall. Great place for a 3 mile jog.

Easy path, even with little kids. Scenery by the lake is great with lots of turtles and ducks for young ones to watch.

A Beautiful beach with fishing pier, a free viewing pier, and lots of space for gatherings and cook-outs. If you walk up the beach you will see private beach sign's at the midway point of this trail. No body seemed to pay them any attention...But, they are there...lol...Beautiful place to spend a day.

This is a great trail for pushing a stroller on. My kids do get bored, but it's a nice change of pace from walking around our neighborhood, and a good distance to accomplish on a regular basis. We've gone multiple times and always end on a good note.

We were able to push our double stroller along this trail- it was bumpy at times, but doable. A good portion of the path runs alongside the highway and is so incredibly loud, my husband and I couldn't hear each other and had to shout at one another- we were SO glad when that stretch finally ended. Because of that, we probably will not do it again.

This trail is a nice length and just the right amount of mixed scenery and trail type. The trail does get very wet when it rains and a few parts do not dry out...ever. There are parts that hold water and are difficult to get around. This is one of the fewer traveled trails so it has areas that have higher grass and during slow times you may not run into anyone. In the summer it is mostly shaded with a few stretches in full sun. The mosquitos can be vicious due to the standing water, bring bug spray.

Not the best for bikes as there are so many roots everywhere so makes for an extremely bumpy ride. There are parts of the trail where you feel you are so far from the city which is really nice. Saw some pretty amazing birds (very large), and beware of the black snakes as they like to frequent the trails. Great place to kayak too. Rented one of the yurts for a nite, had 2 bunk beds with trundles underneath so can sleep quite a bit.

Great place to go running in nature, minus the fact that parts of it are near major roads. I always see at least one deer, and there are lots of squirrels. It's, overall, a beautiful place.

Walk along the beach all the way to the inlet. This is a pleasant walk any time of the year although it may get busy in the summer.

Walked early on a Saturday morning, so only a little competing traffic. Map is a bit off. The trail starts just to the right of the Aquatic center parking lot and ends just to the left of the center. The trails runs along Butler Farm Rd. for a bit as well near the end which is not shown on the map. It is marked as 3 miles with mile posts along the way. Lots of trees so should be reasonable shady in the summer. Saw some deer and squirrels along the way.
