Good ride. Lots of shade and smooth trail

Very short and easy walk in the woods. Downside is there’s interstate to the left and highway to the right, plus airplanes flying constantly overhead. You can almost see some car on the roadways. Overall very well maintained and easily marked. The trail was beautiful and very green, with some wildflowers and bald cypress trees along the way.

Best thing about this trail is...ITS OPEN. (Thanks City of Hampton! #COVID). Flat paved well maintained trail that wanders around the golf course. Its peaceful, pretty, winding and wooded. Fairly popular but not crowed like the Noland Trail can be. Dogs on leash welcome. The only bad thing is its completely FLAT. Great walk, nice for running. Its not long but its a loop. Shady for great on a hot day. We enjoy the cafe for an after run drink on the terrace. Its up a "hill" and overlooks the golf course. There is a frisbee golf course here too. Abundant parking. Its on the site of the police academy so thinking my car is safe. ;)

Nice and easy; and not that this can be helped, but holy crow the mosquitoes were bad!

The trail extends into private property.

Great groomed trails, family friendly hike. Very close to the highway so not so peaceful, but appreciate the nature in the city.

Nice short walk around the lake. VERY noisy with highway traffic, otherwise it would have been perfect. Trail is well maintained, easy to follow and not busy on a cold January morning.

Pretty cool trail but it should be noted that it's probably closed for 8 to 9 months out of the year because of the water levels on either side of it. It's more than likely to be closed than open most of the time.

Beautiful during the fall! Can’t wait to go back and do the trillium trail.

Great little park full of wildlife and a petting zoo with all kinds of lovely animals and plants. Not for intense hikes or for length but happy with a partner

There was a lot of road noise at the beginning from I64 and a good portion of the middle was out in the open and on a hot day you will feel it. Overall it is a good trail and you do see wildlife.

Dog friendly and perfect for an evening stroll!

Followed trillium to whispering pines to wetlands to red cherry. Accidentally closed the app for a portion of trillium which was disappointing. But the trails were beautifully maintained.

Wonderful flat wide clear clean trail. Tons of wildlife to see all kinds of turtles fish and a white egret. There was an observation tower with built in binoculars too! I want to go again. Highly recommend. There is one part of the path where you can hear the highway but what can you do...Just another example of people encroaching on animals space.

I love this trail. It’s flat and a lot of parts are tree covered and provide shade. I used this trail for marathon training, it’s easy to track distance, pace and do laps, and I would set a water bottle in a place along the way for my next lap. I often saw deer in the early morning. Parking is free and I also felt safe running around this loop. Perfect place for a family stroll as well. I have such fond memories of running here.

Cool trail on a small strip of land between 2 lakes. A few nice stopping points for water scenery. Saw a lot of ducks and birds.

A well maintained easy enjoyable trail. Lots of people walking their dogs.

A pleasantly calm and beautiful scenery for all types of people.

If this trail was a natural surface I would easily give it 5 stars. Everything you want in a 3 mile walk. Plenty of room, lots of turns and changes throughout. Looks like in the summer it has a good canopy of tree shade.
