This seems to be a less popular (or lesser known) hike in the area, but it is well worth it! It consists of two loops: a smaller, easier loop around the waterfalls (take either the first right or continue straight for this loop), and a larger, steeper loop in the surrounding forest (take the left after the concrete structure). The stream and waterfalls were gorgeous. No big views or vistas on the larger loop, but still beautiful and worthwhile. Someone else mentioned bees down below. We also came across what appeared to be an underground beehive directly on the trail, but they didn't threaten us. But just be aware!

The caves where cool.

lived so close for so long and never knew about it but just went and seen it and was impressed

Very scenic but I wasn’t too impressed. If your looking for a quick view of a waterfall this is perfect.

pretty little trail with tons of cool waterfalls and caves!

lovely variety of venues and good year round.

A good quick hike. The trail is definitely steep at times. We enjoyed looking at the falls and the caves. The entrance looked like a private driveway but it was easy enough to find.

Lovely hike with very pretty waterfalls at the beginning. The 2 mile loop is pretty steep at times. We saw the sign after hiking with our dog that dogs are NOT allowed on this trail.

This is a great little spot for a quick hike for our family. Easy to navigate for our two boys and plenty to see even if you only do the short loop.

Nice quick little hike. Had some cool caves and water falls. Directions were a little difficult to find it but once we did it was fine. Read the plaque once you start so you can understand how it came about.

Great hike. Waterfalls are nice but on the smaller side. Went there in the winter when falls were completely frozen which I highly recommend going to see.

Steep hike the first 1.5 miles. After that it's smooth sailing and very nice. Beautiful caves and water fall

Little more difficult then expected but I was wearing a weighted vest and going late in the day. The inclines are mostly all at the beginning and then they level off and make for a really enjoyable hike. The trail is thin on certain point so if you like hiking side by side with someone you may want another hike.

Hiked the trail this morning. Overall, good hike. Couple of things to note -

1. The falls are right at the beginning and require only some stairs. So, great for those who want falls but can't handle the hills.

2. The hike is pretty much straight uphill. So be ready to climb.

3. On the downhill of the top loop, the trail gets dry narrow. Watch for ground beehives on either side of the trail.

Great trail! There's a few moderate inclines that really get the heart rate up but its worth the view and the beautiful sights.

Not a hard hike at all, falls were a little dried up this time of year, but the caves were cool!

I have lived just 10 minutes from this area and didn't know it until recently. I walked this trail with two friends. There is two parts to the trail. The lower part which is fairly easy. The second part of the trail is where it becomes moderately harder. If your out of shape stick with the bottom half or prepare for a workout. Still beautiful. Beautiful wildflowers in the spring. Waterfalls and caves are also along the trail. Definately worth checking out.

Although a very simple hike, there's a lot to be discovered here. My childhood home was literally 10 minutes up the road and I just discovered this place a few years ago. There is a small waterfall that is extremely easy to get to. The hardest part is the small incline if you want to stand at the observation deck. The hike around the falls is very enjoyable no matter which way you go. There is another trail that's 2.3 miles. It's a nice trail, but does lack good views. You eventually come to a choice between right and left. Depending on the difficulty you're after, left is harder while right makes things a bit easier.

Easy hike. Went with Bear Cub Scouts, Webelos, and their parents. Still too early to easily identify emerging plants. I look forward to going back in later in the spring. Travertine falls are unique feature and easy to get to. We walked the shorter trail.

Sad no dogs allowed. It was a gorgeous day and an adequately challenging hike.

Did the full loop last weekend. It's a vigorous hike at first and then more moderate after. We liked the "lollipop" style of the hike. We felt invigorated after the much faster trip back so we took a left and went over the falls. We'd visited them a few times before, but even this trip showed us something new.

We've been out here 3 times since thanksgiving. The lower trail around the water fall is great to go with kids, especially the limestone caves. The upper trail, behind the decrepit grain silo, is very steep, and hard for little legs. Take plenty of water.

Great to walk with a friend. No overlook, but a cute little waterfall that we dunked into to!

Nice trail for a day hike. We enjoyed it. There wasn't much of a view when you got to the top but it was a very quiet and nice hike. The waterfall at the beginning was cool.

It was very nice but you are absolutely not supposed to bring your pets. Dogs are not allowed in nature conservatories and there is a large sign telling you so as soon as you arrive.

This was a good hike. Nice for a day out of the house. The falls are at the beginning of the hike on Bradley Trail which loops into the Chamberlain Trail. Chamberlain is mostly a walk through the woods but great for some exercise. The falls are not as beautiful as the Cascades but still nice to look at and should be appreciated for what they are. The Cascades are way too nice for comparison anyway.

Friday, June 03, 2016

Unless you really enjoy walking, I don't see why you should do this one. The falls are mini and can't dive. So basically you just walk! Extremely disappointed specially after doing cascades, which is wonderful!

Friday, May 20, 2016

This is a really nice trail but it is definitely not easy. There are 2 trails - the longer one called the Chamberlin trial is about 4 miles round trip and at points it's darn near straight up the side of the mountain. The shorter one is closer to the falls/stream and the beginning is pretty steep as well. It was a great way to spend a few hours and it's very well maintained. However, despite the notes on here that it is dog friendly, dogs are not supposed to be in the preserve/on the trail.
