Nice walking/running path. The occasional unleashed privileged dogs.
Lots of shade.

Love this easy trail walk. So pretty. This last time we had a deer run right by us. Always see some kind of wildlife.

My fav for running! Beautiful park!

Felt like a real forest experience. My dog loved it!! Only flaw is the lack of signs and we got lost several times. Need better signage/directions!

wear earplugs or headphones in the summer time as the biting flies like ear holes.

a great jungle experience, except hard to follow the makers

Looks like an awesome trail. But upon calling Chesapeake Parks and Rec, Lake Drummond is only accessible by boat--i.e. this trail is not usable.
From looking at the map, it appears the only access to the trail goes through some private property on the west side of the Canal.

I only stayed for a 20 min walk but can't wait to go back.

Short, easy, wide, packed trail. Rather busy for an early Sunday morning but everyone was very friendly!

Beautiful, short, wooded trail. We went late morning when it was to hot to normally walk with our dogs but nice and cool on the trail.

Great hike to do after work and to enjoy the peace and quiet. The trail does get very muddy when it has rained recently. Recommend you check yourself for ticks afterwards.

Great walk but not quiet since it’s still near the interstate and very busy. Overall a very nice walk and scenic.

Great trail but the flies were almost unbearable! Definitely bring spray.

Im all for a Naturalistic walk but at a point it becomes a problem when the trails look like a hurricane came through 7 months past hurricane season. Everything is overgrown / derelict. The only other people there were 16 year old stoners on the bike jumps. Then again it fits the bill for southern VA, trashy and occupied by bums. Can't wait to get back to Colorado.

Trail was pretty cool.

Walked this trail after doing Otter Point Trail. Very easy and had it mostly to myself. Lots of places to stop if you want a rest of just soak up Nature.

This is a easy great trail. I have no clue why it's listed as a moderate trail. You will have to cross a ditch or two at a slight incline, but that is the biggest challenge. Bring bug spray of some sort during the summer. I have walked this trail in almost every season and they all have their rewards. You can check out my short review and pics on the Google listing or on Instagram @archangel.photography.

It’s a pretty swell expanse of sidewalks, but not much else. It’s a pretty cool little park, but as far as walking/hiking is concerned, it’s not even mediocre. On top of that, it was super crowded.

this is a great trail to enjoy some nature with younger children. everyone had a great time.

A lot of litter and some idiot with unleashed dogs other than nice trail. Will do again and next time bring a bag to pickup litter

could not find a way across the canal

No trespassing signs at trailhead

Cannot figure out how to get to the trailhead. It's on the other side of the canal and a crossing is not obvious.

Scenic path around the lake. Heavily used, and you won’t get away from the road noise. However, if you’re looking for something quick, accessible and local to get outdoors for a bit, it’s a good walk.

Muddy in January. But bug-free! Great exercise on a nice winter day. Many informative bulletin boards re: animals, birds, and trees on several bridges. Trail well marked. Portapotties open near campstore and kayak launch.

great trail!

had a great time!

Didn't find any obvious way to cross the canal, not sure if this trail is still supported by the park.

not a bad little walk to just get out of the house for a bit.
