Beautiful waterfall. Trail can be muddy and slippery. Did this trail in June and no issues with bugs. All up hill on the way back, but can stop and enjoy the view as much as you want. Enjoy!

We came back again :) my labrador loved this place so much!

Love love love this hike! Super short and easy. A great one for kids and pups on a hot summer day!

probably have done this same trail hundreds of times the beauty of the james never gets old

Me and a friend hiked this trail on an early Sunday Morning and it was amazing. The view was beautiful and the weather was nice. Not strenuous at all, you could even bring children along. Nice trail about 5 miles.

It was a great little hike. It had rained two days before and it was not too flooded when we went. We were going to scope out the rock climbing and they have some good problems up with hooks all ready to go. We will for sure come back this summer to work on the problems.

Four stars because it was a little dirty but that’s kind of expected seeing as there was a ton of people there. There were kids smoking pot in the woods too. But in all it was great!

Beautiful, well maintained park. Easy out and back hike. The first part is paved, then boardwalk over the water. The final portion is well-marked trail. Interesting guide markers along with the way. Lots of rocks for climbing. Beautiful water views on both sides.

If you like rock climbing this is a great spot!

I am now in love with this whole park the trail itself was marked as “easy” and this over weight old lady would call it moderate not easy. There are several hills u have to go up, they aren’t that long but whew about killed me. Lovely woods a lot of history in that park not much led to see now but it was a nice surprise seeing what was there.

This was an amazing walk! I often visit Buckroe, which is nice for swimming, but just mediocre for shell collecting. The beach at Grandview was absolutely stunning! I took so many wonderful pics, and collected some nice shells, including one of the largest whelks I've ever seen! Will definitely be back! The only issue was no bathroom or portapotty around, so if you are like me and have an active bladder, that's tough.

Overcast day, but still an enjoyable hike. Nice view.
The trail is rocky with a few steep climbs. Not a well marked trail. Don’t be alarmed if you don’t see a trail marking until reaching a junction. Just pull up this app and find your location on the map.

One of my favorite go-to walks. It's beautiful in all seasons, always something different to see no matter how many times I go.

I mean, it's Richmond, so yeah there's TONS of trash everywhere. However, deep in the parts where people are usually to lazy to walk, everything gets BEAUTIFUL! Also, there are walls to rock climb. I do this with my parents a couple of times throughout the year.

I loved this trail but I think it was too hard for my pup. Lol, it has some technical paths!! And I think the marking is a little confusing at the blue line! But enjoyed every second of it! Start early!!

Gorgeous trail. Best waterfalls I've seen since moving to VA.

Awesome in winter. Water was high. Very quiet. Lovely!

Long hike down... but amazingly rewarding! The falls are awesome and well worth the hike back up to the trail head.

Great trail for families with older children- some steep hills, but nice views and some interesting sites along the trail. The whole park is quite nice.

Traveling counter-clockwise, the first 1/2 mile may be crowded as it's a popular short trail to the Stony Man overlook. Skip that view, though, and continue on the AT to connect up with the Passamaquoddy and amazing overlooks with fewer hikers.

Grew up on going here, I grew up not far away and my dad literally grew up across the river. It’s a beautiful place and a must see for anyone visiting Richmond! Pet friendly, handicap accessible, hiking, biking, swimming, rapids, views, historic....you have everything in one spot.

Good family trail, can be packed with 5k runners.

Did the Golden mile loop first time hiking in more than 10 years and had a blast

Great hike even in gloomy conditions. The rocks are super slippery when they are wet. Will have to hike it again on a clear day.

Definitely my favorite trail in RVA. I usually go here a lot with friends, and it’s always an easy and historic trail that never ceases to be fun.

We do this trail at least once a month.

Simply Beautiful. Don’t miss it

Gorgeous hike. Beautiful scenery throughout hike.
