Easy hike with nice wildlife to see, deer, squirrels and critters like that. Miskitos were pretty bad so be prepared. I parked at the entrance and hiked the trail and walked back down the road for a total of 4.6 miles.

Not a lot to see but a nice easy walk with a little history to reflect on. When you get to the split in the trail go left to reach the site. Once done head back the way you came, going around only takes you through a swampy area your not missing anything.

Short walk to some historical land marks. Another nice walking history lesson for the kids.

Nice trail. There was a small hill to climb but nothing to steep. The trail was nice and clean. The only thing was that there was some residential housing close by about halfway thru, but other than that it was a nice walk. There is some well kept cannons and historical sights at the end as well

It was so nice a calming

This was a pretty good trail. There was not very much elevation change. There were quite a few foot bridges throughout the trail. I started at the far end of Lee Drive and worked backwards. Then I walked along Lee Drive to get back. It was a pleasant day for the hike. After reading the information postings throughout the park, when I heard the whistle of the trains going by, it felt like I was taking a walk through history when this area was controlled by the Confederate Army for a supply line to and from Richmond. Pretty cool.

Beautiful, peaceful paved road. Great for biking, jogging, and walks.
