Very little elevation gain, don't bother with the short loop near the beginning of the trail that goes down to the river. You don't see much that you didn't see walking to the trailhead. You'll go through the woods for another half mile or so, then the trail bends to follow the reservoir to a park (complete with picnic tables and port-a-potties). Show more
