Nice, fairly easy trail. The trail is not well marked once you get about half way, and branches off quite a few times. But if you happen to go the wrong way, you will stumble upon some neat stuff. There was a creepy abandoned house in the woods off one branch, and several very old tombstones at the edge of a clearing. Part of the main trail is lined with old stacked stone walls that are similar to what you would see along the roadsides of the Irish countryside.

Lovely, well marked trail. Beautiful views from the overlook, even though it’s past peak foliage.

This hike is great. It's in the woods. It's up and down hill a lot. It was great for kids. Plenty to see and the view? Well the view at the overlook can't be put into words. The best view in VT...

Great moderate/moderate-light trail. It took 30 minutes to get up to the top and 30 minutes to get down. Shady hike the entire way to the top. A few semi-steep points in the hike, but very doable regardless of one’s hiking experience. View at the top is terrific. Bring a picnic and enjoy the view.

Lovely trail. Nice woods and ledges and many geochaches

Cute little walk in the woods to a great view!

Nice walk through the woods with a payoff of a gorgeous view of the Adirondacks..Lake Champlain and Burlington. Dogs can be off leash here as well

Great view for a short hike. Bench at the top makes for a nice place to just relax.

A short hike great for kids!..you can make it longer if you hike down to Sucker Brook.
you will need to turn around and come back,or park a car on both sides.
Easy fun .

Great place to get started hiking and the view from the top is excellent.

Moderate trail. Light traffic. Best to go to the top and then come back in about 1:30. Dogs half the time on leash. Bring bug spray.

This is best described as a rigorous walk or an easier hike. Great Pine woods with 2 interesting stone walls.

Close to our hotel. We were surprised at how nice it was. Secluded and easy, but in what felt like deep forest.

My kids and I enjoyed this hike in the woods this morning. We did the loop trail. You can definitely tell it is meant for mountain bikers with several jumps and built up corners, however, my 11-year-old and 13-year-old really enjoyed running around those corners and jumping the jumps on foot. It was fun!

Had a little trouble finding the entrance to the Country Park but once there, I found the trail system to be well marked. FOTW has done a great job of maintaining the trails. Fun undulations, nice hard packed berms, flowing downhills and some rooty grinds. Nothing too technical. The man made wood bridges in a few areas are cool. The trails were bone dry the day I went and my loop finished at 3’.3 miles, on a carbon 29” hard tail.

I had a little trouble finding the entrance to the MTB section but after that the trails were well marked and easy to follow. Beginner to intermediate is accurate IMO, a work out for this FL flats rider. Nice climbs, cool berms, jarring roots, fast downhills, and some fun man made structures along the trails. The maps with “you are here” were appreciated. FOTW has done an admirable job of maintaining this area. Dry, 3.3mi loop on a carbon 29” hard tail.

Favorite local spot for a leisurely dog walk. Lots of different areas of trails to explore, so you're not just repeating the same walk over and over if you visit often.

Nice little walk in the woods but not many spots to viewing the pond, which I was hoping for.

Fun, light hike with a variety of trails and landscape. Was muddy due to recent rain but well marked trails and a lot of intersections made for a solid outing.

Nice trails. At first we took the trail to the pond. It was quick and about a mile. We enjoyed the bike trails more!

Beautifully maintained trails for mountain bikers and hikers. There are trails for Mud Pond Conservation area, and Mud Pond Country Park area, which are two separate areas divided by South Road. Mud Pond Country Park is the area for mountain bikers as well as hikers who enjoy a long scenic route.

Great place to get some fresh air and relax. Lots of erosion from bikes and horses. Watch out for road apples.

I got lost...I thought if I stayed on outer trail I could do a longer run....trails aren't well marked. Confusing.

A well-maintained walking and biking trail, through interestingly varied tree types.

Love the trails and the activities offered here. Actually got a little lost with some of the trails Wish the season passes were less expensive. If you don't like big crowds, stay away on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons during the summer. They have bike and running races.
