What a terrific trail! If you hike often, I would say more on the easy side. If you don’t, moderate is more accurate because there is some uphill and rocks to step over. Beautiful and peaceful with markers along the way containing historical info. Trail markers very visible. The view was gorgeous. Cabin at the top was nice enough that I would live in it-can’t wait to go back and camp out (res. Required). Hiked on a Thursday and saw folks on the trail but had view at top to ourselves. Really a very lovely hike!

Great trail for an autumn hike/jog. Get there early to find parking if you go in the peak tourist season. I got there at 9:45 and the trail had enough traffic that I felt safe hiking alone, but not so much that it was annoying. When I got back to my car at 11, the parking lot was over flowing and people were waiting for my spot. The autumn colors were phenomenal.

Picked a great day for a great hike. Parking lot and even street was full of cars but saw minimal people. Great views from the shelter and pleasant, quiet stroll on the well maintained trails. Dogs loved it too !!

This was an enjoyable hike to start off the day. A great view from the Pinnacle. I also liked visiting the restored log cabin there, which hikers can use for overnight camping. I’m 68 yrs old and walk easy walks almost daily near my Atlanta area home. I would say that for me this was an easy, rather than a moderate walk. My wife and I hiked Olga Mountain at Molly Stark state park later in the day. It was ranked as easy, but we thought it was more on the moderate side. It really helps to read a number of the user reviews to better familiarize yourself with the type of hike it is.

Lovely trail run. Easy and flows nicely. View at the top of Stratton etc was beautiful.

Pretty easy trail. Lots of people out hiking on a Sunday. Pretty view at the top.

Great hike, not too difficult and the view is terrific!

nice trail with one scenic overlook. it is definitely not an easy, moderate would describe it much more accurate.

What an awesome hike. Our first trip here. So well marked and maintained. Beautiful day, nice breeze to keep the bugs away. Will have to come back to use the cabin!!

Nice wide trail easy to follow markers . Feels long going up but when you get to the pinnacle it all becomes worth it. So beautiful

Great trails, not too challenging for a 50+ person & has a outhouse @ the Pinnacle!

Beautiful. The trail is well maintained. Great view!

This is a lovely trail with a stunning view at the pinnacle. When we visited in spring, despite torrential rain the previous week, there was very little mud, which was easy to avoid. We only saw a few other people on the trail—it was peaceful and serene. To the pinnacle and back is only 3 miles and not too steep.

What a beautiful day for a hike. The trail conditions were perfect. The weather was perfect.

Closed due to mud season

This is a beautiful trail. It is well marked. It was foggy when I hiked it so I was unable to get any views. The hut at the pinnacle is beautiful and well maintained. There is a privy and a trail kiosk as well as a firepit. This will be on my list to do again.

The view at the top is amazing and worth the hike up ten fold!

Nicely marked trails. Hiked on Christmas Day. It was cold with some some wet and icy spots but studs made it easy. We look forward to returning.

Great easy hike that my wife and I enjoyed with a great view at the Pinnacle of many area peaks. Very well marked and maintained, will do it again sometime soon...

Amazing hike. The gentle climb goes through a variety of sugar lots and old farmlands. The view at the top is incredible. Nice log house at the top identifies the mtn peaks that you can see.

A very enjoyable afternoon hike (about 90 minutes) with plenty to recommend it. We did a loop entering the trail head at Holden's Kiosk to the Pinnacle via Headwaters trail. The trails are very clearly marked and we'll maintained. There are posts along the trail that provide information about the vegetation, topography and interesting history of the area. Of special interest are the numerous stone fences the hiker crosses which were made by homesteaders hundreds of years ago for sheep farming, which is hard to believe given that they appear in the middle of the forest. the view at the pinnacle is quite spectacular.

This is one of my favorite hikes! Been doing it since I was a little girl. The top is absolutely beautiful in both winter and the summer.

The view from the pinnacle is breathtaking. Cabin at the top for an overnight stay. Will definitely do this one again

I'm new to hiking and this was a great place to start. I've hiked a few different trails up to the Pinnacle and they're easy to follow, well marked and for the most part wide. Not too steep, but there are a few steep parts on some trails. The view at the top is amazing! The pictures just don't do it justice.

This is such a great, well maintained trail system. Hidden gem in my opinion. Well marked and has great signage. Great spot at the pinnacle to see panoramic views.

This is one of my favorite hikes. The best time of year to hike this is during the fall season due to the acres of birch stands.

Love the hike to the pinnacle. It's easy, relatively quick and there's an amazing view at the top. This is part of the windmill hill pinnacle associations many trails around Westminster, Grafton, Brookline, Cambridgeport and Athens.
