Enjoy the hike along the lake because it’s a sustained slog, passing a waterfall, to the lodge. Continue up another couple hundred feet to a beautiful view of the notch.

did this week ago. , great hike bugs were not bad but i believe they will be very soon in tree. lot. bug net. should be item to carry with lo g sleve shirt and long pants

More challenging than I expected but a very pretty hike. The bugs are out and so are the snakes, but the trail is well kept. We almost turned back due to all the Private Property signs but the property has a Public lot and many signs to keep you on the public trail

Did this hike today 5/25! Trail is open again, went early to avoid the crowds. Not much mud and no ice/snow left. Trail is in good shape and conditions were great!

Beautiful day, and trail in great shape for this time of year. Very little mud. Views of snow-covered Stowe and Sugarbush trails.

A great hike through the woods. There are some really pretty waterfalls almost near the top, and we saw a large moose print in one of the muddy spots. There's not a whole lot to see at the lodge - do yourself a favor and take the first couple hundred yards on the Clara Bow trail to the overlook.

Snow is melting. Trail is tough not moderate. Awesome hike. Snow is melting so water was high. Gorgeous day for a hike but didn’t make it all the wAy up. Did it with 2 kids (5 &8 ) we made it up to the top of the very steep juncture and then turned back.

Great hike! Tonight was the perfect temperature and it was dry! Lots of little buggies on the way up buzzing in your ear but the breeze up top cleared those out for the most part. Beautiful views, the subset wasn’t all too bad either :)

Beautiful waterfalls. Interesting terrain with a decent climb. Not a great view at the top (top is a lodge with a small lookout area). Muddy mostly at the beginning.

Trail is closed for mud season.

Trailhead and parking lot are currently closed for mud season. When not closed this is my favorite short but steep hike. Great effort:views ratio.

Such a beautiful hike! There was quite a wet stream crossing because of the recent rain. Cute cabin at the top with beautiful views and great place to have lunch. We added the Clara Bow to LT Loop which was amazing! Definitely technical with a ladder down a cave, so not sure dogs could do the added loop.

Extremely muddy and washed out. Waterproof shoes a must and maybe poles. Otherwise, it was nice to get out and I had a baby on my back. So doable.

Nice paved walking/bike paths. Good for kids and for those that need to rest during walking, lots of benches with pretty views to sit and look out some in shade and some in sunlight. One way is 5.6 miles we parked a Sr stone end then drove the other and walked back. Very nice.

Amazing hike! Dont bring your dogs if they aren’t friendly, there are two beautiful mascots (golden retrievers) that are frequently up top!
