Easy and short hike with an amazing view!

Hiked up yesterday in 100% snow. Conditions were excellent, sunny and low traffic. Trails were well travelled and easy to follow. I think by next weekend it'll be full on mud season though, and not advisable to use the delicate trails.

Nice area and easy access. Good if you don’t have much time.

Very pleasant hike. Fairly easy. Still pretty wet along the creek as of 4/22. Plenty of little bridges and short cuts to avoid most of the water though. Great for the whole family.

Some parts still snowy, but the loop is such a fun hike!

Nice, easy to moderate hike, with two ways to the top that can be done as a loop. One trail, which heads south from the kiosk, is much easier with switchbacks. The main route is steeper but shorter. The view at the top is very nice, with Lake St, Catherine in the foreground and the southern Adirondacks to the west. There is a platform at the top for camping. Across Endless Brook Road is another trail system for hiking and mountain bike riding maintained by Slate Valley Trails, with some more nice views.

Moderate incline, nice spot, pretty secluded, no views.

Hiked Faulkner Trail up to Mount Tom on Earth Day (April 22) and it was a perfect sunny Spring day. Trail is easy to find from Faulkner Park - across from Woodstock Inn there is a covered bridge on Mountain Ave, go over that and across River street to follow the curve to Faulkner Park and then begin the hike on the pavement next to a stone wall. Trail is well marked and the switchbacks make the assent easier. Starts to get a little rocky half way up but the hardest part is close to the top where it gets narrow, a little steep and more technical but that does not go on for long. Nice views. It would be lovely later in the spring and in the fall. You can extend the hike by heading further to the Pogue or any number of other trail options. If just doing the climb to Mount Tom and back probably a few hours at a leisurely pace with stops to enjoy the views.

Trails are still covered in soft spring snow, I found microspikes and poles helpful. Great afternoon hike!

Strenuous but views are well worth it. Challenging without spikes/poles as the trail is still covered in snow and ice, but is doable without them. Perfect day hiking spot!

Great hike short but beautiful views!

Very nice hike, beautiful view at the top.
Steep but doable. At this time of the year it was hard to find a fairly dry trail and was great.

This trail has been closed for a ridiculous amount of time.... We used to hike it all the time!

Don't bother going there in the winter. There were no parking signs until April 30th on every side street, so we had to bail because we couldn't find a place to park.

Definitely not the easiest and in mud season even a little tricky at times with the dog and kiddos. But such a good steep hike, and worth the trip. My kids have officially climbed a mountain!

Walked the loop with the family - 12yo and 9yo. It was an easy hike/walk with a few up and down slopes. Nice views near the pond, though nothing spectacular .

Did this in February on snowshoes. Lots of snow, beautiful and peaceful. Has a few steeper spots for short periods but always levels out to let you catch breath. No view at top but beautiful wooded surroundings with brook along the way.

Did this beautiful hike, more if a trek, in early March on snowshoes. Very enjoyable and serene with Stevenson Brook runnig next to the trail the majority of the way. Came across one other person on cross country skis.

Hiked (showshoed) on Sunday from Bloodbrook Rd. Day was clear skies, bright sun, cold, and windy. Deep soft snow the entire way with a couple areas of wind packed crust. We did not see anyone else the entire hike. Abundant birds were heard in the forest canopy. Spring is trying to get a foothold here.

It is good hike. Interesting and not heavily traveled.

Wet snow remains on the trails, a little slippery going down hill, and the trails are marked well. I did not need micro spikes or snowshoes. Appropriately rated, an easy walk/hike in the woods. The access road is in great shape!

amazing views!

Nice quick hike. make sure to look up at about 1.6 mils so you see the sign for Prospect rock to the right. Beautiful view from the top!

Tougher than I expected given the wet snow, well worth it for the view from the top of the fire tower!

Ok trail and pretty clean. No real challenge though. Definitely a beginner trail. Take the trail to the Hamilton Falls trail head and it’s an awesome hike. Cool views from Dam.

Winter snowshoe hike. Navigating was confusing because if you use the alltrails location, there's no parking, just the main road. maybe the snow prevented space. Went with Google maps "white rock recreation area". hiked up the 0.3 to a nice overlook.

What a fun, beautiful and easy trail. There was a lot to look at and explore, and it wasn't too muddy.

If I were to do this hike again I would just do the Aunt Jenny Trail up and back. I thought it was more traveled and maintained. I knew the cliffs would most likely be closed (from March 15-August 15) but I still really enjoyed the hike and had views going up through the trees. I will definitely do it again in the fall.

Very easy, short hike. Decent views. My dogs were happy to be off leash.

Beautiful location. Great for a quick hike. Trails are well maintained and clean.

Unfortunately when I went there was lots of trash at the parking area. I tried to pick up some.

I dont live in the area but would return often if I did.

Not a hard hike just not well marked.
