Did this trail in an hour with 3 kids, and that included 20 mins spent at the fire tower at the top and 5 mins picking blackberries on the way down. Easy trail, mostly rock “stairs.”

Easy except a few moderately steep parts. No trail signs so we took 1 wrong turn but used the app to figure it put. No bugs!

This trail is now open as of 5/19/18. http://norwich.vt.us/gile-mountain-trail-closed/

Is the trail open for the season yet? I heard it was recently closed for mud season, but it has been very dry recently.

This trail has been closed for a ridiculous amount of time.... We used to hike it all the time!

Nice 5k loop walk in some pretty woods.

Wonderful hike. Currently, Turnpike Rd., is closed due to damage caused by the July 1 rainstorm. The trail is officially closed.

Haven Trail is always a hit for my 7yo. There's all new signage for the planet walk, including a new one for the Kuiper and Asteroid Belts. Hike has milestones along the way to keep the hike interesting for the kiddo, and it's not too long.

Needs more trail marking but it was a great hike

Trail is in fine condition but you can hear the sound of car traffic the entire way. Did not see or hear the river.

Great trail for a quick afternoon hike in the woods, close to home. Easy parking, mostly well marked trail junctions.

amazingly well kept and great for the entire family

Great for a nice walk away from it all! Rolling hills were a nice added touch, will be back for sure, makes for a great all season trail! Can't wait to try it out in the winter.

Easy trail for a Sunday after-lunch walk
