The lake is beautiful and healthy w.r.t. wildlife (fish, turtles, birds). The path was very nice, piney underfoot alot of the way, a few nice small streams, a couple nice small clearings, and a lot of the path was along the lake with nice views. Only negative is it was fairly buggy so bring bug spray. Trail was very easy and pretty much flat the whole way. I would definitely recommend.

We tried to go to Bourn pond after the (spectacular) Lye waterfall but the trail was very poor. Markings were hard to find, fallen trees required small detours, trail was muddy, and lots of bushwacking was needed. We turned back after ~4-5 miles after the waterfall fork. The forest was very beautiful but I would not recommend doing this hike.

Nice forest area with a beach overlooking the lake. Very pleasant, nice easy walk.

Nice little trail around the pond. In the winter it freezes over and ppl Nordic ski/skate. Very pretty.

Great bike trail but, really, this is a nice place to take a stroll close to the city after having a meal with friends. It’s not a hike through nature, but more of a stroll in town beside the lake.

Excellent and beautiful trail to walk, run or bike on. The trail takes you right through lake Champlain and the views are obviously stellar. One of the best easy trails to do in Chittenden County

Was a beautiful winter day , tons of snow on the ground and easy hike in and out. The lake was the perfect size. Will be great swimming spot for summer . And also can see snow bowl ski slopes from the lake and see the mountain. The trail was well marked . Little steep in some spots , other then that an easy hike .

Nice up and down trail. Much board walk. Liked it!

Great hike w a beautiful lake at the end. Went in December and was completely ice and snow covered but was still a fun hike.

Fun hike. Pretty steep all the way through, the view is worth it though. I would strongly suggest bringing a good amount of water on this hike, and the right equipment. A fire tower at the pinnacle is great for pictures and instagram photos.

Marked well and different terrains.

Scenic yet some work involved. Trail in good order.

Made a longer loop hike starting out on the burns trail, which was a nice walk through the woods, to the cedar point trail which had beautiful views of the bay and access to the shore. Returned via the beach bypass trail to the Allen trail. Highly recommend this beautiful park, many different hikes and loops

My honey and I weren’t able to walk the entire trail because the wind was a bit much that day. Pristine trail, ideal for walking or biking. Every city/town should have a trail like this! We plan to return with our children and bikes.

Follow long trail south to the gulch, and for that matter, the gulch lies beyond the graphic trail shown here. We did an out and back on the Long Trail because we could not find the loop (Babcock) shown on the eastern side. Nice trail, impressive Gulch.

Perfect day. The stream was rushing wild. Needed more time to explore the lower falls. Foliage was past peak but still spectacular!

I took the south trail and its a great and free hicking zone! Moderate is a valid rating for this hike. The view is fanrastic! Can be done in less than 2 hours total easily :)

I did today 10-30. Lots of ice at the beginning then snow. It was windy. Very windy. From bottom of notch road by the new Boardwalk on Stowe side I started there so w the up and down and back to my car 4 hours. only one sketchy spot at the very beginning of actual trail. I used poles and my Yaktrax. I always use poles. Some deep snow around the pond area in some spots. Very fun hike today. I saw no one. ONE MAN GATHERS WHAT ANOTHER MAN SPILLS.

The view is incredible! Really love this hike and I would recommend it!

I did this today. 28 degrees rain Iicey snow sleet precipitation. Some really sketchy spots at the very top just before the fire tower. Lots of very thick ice. Danger Will Robinson The fire tower was covered in ice. Probably not a good move on my part and ; coming down was freeking treacherous Whole thing took about 2.25 hours. ONE MAN GATHERS WHAT ANOTHER MAN SPILLS.

Great hike today!!! Beautiful views!!!

Nice walk in the fall

Make sure you make a right at the beginning of the trail to take the steep part first. Quite steep for little ones but we made it through ranging from 3-adult. Beautiful lake.

Really nice!!

Gorgeous hike but with snow and freezing weather (oct 18) the trail almost entirely iced over and was extremely slippery. Completed in just under an hour and a half. Would have been much quicker in warmer conditions or with crampons.
The lake is gorgeous and sooo serene.

This is why we love Vermont. Don't tell peeps of this lovely place. Bugs... smugsy... deal with it if it is the season. We saw m the lake ... 300m / 400m and it takes me (the slow one) 20mins each way.... very relaxing ... so nice

Great place to run and take a quick dip in the pond. There’s a rope swing on the north peninsula and a pretty easy cut off trail to find it.

Easy bike ride. At times path is congested with people. Better views at the northern end of the trail. Not so in the beginning.
