The road is closed as of today, and, according to the cop posted at the road closure sign, is nothing but ice. And probably will be for a long time. Super disappointing; wish the road closure was marked earlier, but it’s sudden, right after a curve. Will update review if we ever get to hike it.

A very nice and easy hike. We really enjoyed it and the pond was just beautiful. We ate our lunch there and dipped out feed it the water. It was really nice. However we did the hike in July and there was a lot of bugs!

great hoke with better views. cool off in the clear water lake when your done. highly recommended!

Great bike trail but, really, this is a nice place to take a stroll close to the city after having a meal with friends. It’s not a hike through nature, but more of a stroll in town beside the lake.

Needed a walk a day after gorging on thanksgiving dinner the prior day. This was perfect...nice varied scenery from fields with cows to forest setting to the gorgeous view of the bay. Would love to return in the summer or spring because it seems there would be tons of bird activity.

I took the south trail and its a great and free hicking zone! Moderate is a valid rating for this hike. The view is fanrastic! Can be done in less than 2 hours total easily :)

Gorgeous gorge!

Easy bike ride. At times path is congested with people. Better views at the northern end of the trail. Not so in the beginning.

Très belle randonnée! Des points de vue magnifiques et spectaculaires. À faire en famille!

Really this would probably be 3 1/2 stars for me. This hike was pretty without much elevation but like another reviewer noted it is rocky! Once you cross over the creek that whole section of the trail is super rocky. I couldn't really enjoy my surroundings, because if you looked up while walking you'd twist an ankle. Our golden retriever had a rougher time then usual too with paw placement. A 2 mile hike to the pond should have taken our family of 4 around 40 minutes or less - we hike a lot. It took us over an hour to get to pond since it was slow going with the rocky path.

Took the North trail up and back...Views at the outlooks were amazing. Steep in spots but overall it was mild-moderate in difficulty. Took about 3 hours

Misty, foggy day, but beautiful stream-side hike. Foliage was great.

Lovely trail that is well travelled, shady, and gorgeous.

Before I started this trail, I kept wondering why people rated it so low. The trail was beautiful and it starts off with the lake. After you pass the lake, you get to enjoy a very vegetative trail (end of September). The issue comes when you reach the wooden bridge. There is no way of knowing where to go next. If you go straight, you hit the street, if you walk on what looks like a path in any direction, you end up nowhere. And that is why I only gave it 4 stars.

Nice short hike. Don't miss the western lookout past the summit. If you're hiking with a dog, you'll want to keep him/her on a leash, since the trail is never far from dizzyingly high cliffs.

Well kept with all the traffic back and forth. Great scenery from the Green Mountain.

Surprise, tres agreable ballade. Certains applombs, mais peu de vues en hauteur dégagées.

Not to steep, perfect for us! Best hike I have been on in my life!

súper belle expérience.

I found this trail to be difficult with the footing, stepping on and in between pointy rocks and numerous exposed tree roots for 85 percent of the journey, but I could have been having an off day for hiking too. The pond is definitely worth visiting. Seemed like a very remote place, with lots of AT/LT hikers passing through this time of year. It is very picturesque with dozens.of mini water cascades flowing among moss covered rocks. I also found lions mane (mushroom) here which was a pleasant surprise.

Great area to walk and relax!

It’s a short walk and worthwhile doing to see and smell all the wild flowers.

Lots of roots and trees down but very different and interesting to explore.

Out and back. Views from the rocky outcrops over Lake Willoughby are spectacular. Go past the peak into the North Trail to catch the best rocks. Follow the hike with a dip in Lake Willoughby and you’ll have a fine day!

A must do if you’re in town. Go North to North Beach , Leddy Park and the Causeway trail { *through the lake } and South to Oakledge Park. Amazing lake views for much of this trail, and decent shade as well. Please obey the traffic rules and pay attention - it’s a fairly heavily travelled trail in season, in sections.

There is no such trail. Not sure why this is listed here as a trail, as it is a river. Great for kayaking, tubing and fishing, but not hiking.

Great views!!!

As mentioned, the main part of the trail is really a dirt/gravel walkway from the highway to get down to the more open section of the river where it is not always filled with much water. It's a nice little half mile or so walk downhill then back up but it's a minor uphill climb.
