Well kept with all the traffic back and forth. Great scenery from the Green Mountain.

Not to steep, perfect for us! Best hike I have been on in my life!

I found this trail to be difficult with the footing, stepping on and in between pointy rocks and numerous exposed tree roots for 85 percent of the journey, but I could have been having an off day for hiking too. The pond is definitely worth visiting. Seemed like a very remote place, with lots of AT/LT hikers passing through this time of year. It is very picturesque with dozens.of mini water cascades flowing among moss covered rocks. I also found lions mane (mushroom) here which was a pleasant surprise.

This was an easy hike - there were only a couple of spots that might be considered steep. It was raining on our hike so the rocks were slippery. The pond looked clear, and we saw a couple of loons.

It was lovely in the woods, with a couple of nice vistas near the peak of Green Mtn. Continued toward Little Rock Pond, with a few more nice views along the way. Continued along the LT/AT south to complete the loop. Flat and lots of hikers headed out the 1.7 mi to the parking area. A nice hike.

Nice hike with a lot of interesting things to see in the woods. Very wooded until the very top. It was a little hard to tell when you reached the very top, I think we made it. A few stream crossings to navigate.

Challenging hike on a wet day, but well worth it. Hope to do it again but in nicer weather.

Nice trail! My dog loved it!

HIked this trail two labor days ago and it was humid as hell. I've seen a few reviews about the "boring" beginning of this trail....within the first 5 mins of the hike I saw a gorgeous Barred Owl in the ravine to the left of the trail. Luckily I had my binoculars with me and watched it for a good 5 mins, it wasn't bothered at all by my presence. As for the trail itself I loved it..moderate hike but challenging in the humidity, thinking ahead I packed cold beers for the summit and that was my motivation to fight through the stifling heat

Steep enough in places to make it fun. Can't wait to go back and do the loop!

Trail hugs a stream with several waterfalls, culminating in a serene mountain pond.

Great overnight trip with family. Easy hike up from the parking area and the camping around Little Rock Pond is just beautiful. We did it with my 9 year old son and my 6 year old daughter and they made it without a problem. Great hike, would definitely do it again!

Great trails and beautiful pond.

It's like a walk through the forest...Although steadily uphill, it is not very steep. The surrounding area remains monotonous. No outlook, no variety on the trail. The overlook is not worth the effort. Besides one million flies.
At the beginnig of the trail there is not even a map.

Best parts of the hike were the stream and waterfall on the way up, the bridge sort of on a cliff, and the white rock scrambling at the top (New for me). It wasn't the best summit view and the flies were very bad towards the top.

Tips: heavy bug spray, lunch at Cilantro Taco in Manchester post-hike :)

I give it a four because i dont have much to compare it too yet. Overall i thought it was a pretty good trail. There werent a whole lot of markees, but they were placed where they were needed haha. It's pretty easy to stay on the trail otherwise. Like some others said the first 15 minutes or so is bland like your normal trek through the woods, but then it changes after the bridge haha. well worth it if youre nearby. I drove 90 minutes to get there and dont regret it a bit.

Love this trail. A little rocky and muddy in spots, but the pond makes it completely worth it.

Nice hike...not too strenuous. Pond was gorgeous with the fall foliage...great place for a family hike

Very beautiful trail that mostly runs next to a creek. Very little change in elevation, rocky, but not too strenuous.

First ten minutes is kind of a boring access path behind people's properties. Then the trail gets narrow, crosses a sweet bridge and begins to make some good gains up hill. Beautiful water feature with a flowing brook that comes and goes throughout the hike. Awesome leaf peeping hike. Afternoon or morning adventure. View facing West. Could be a great running trail. Light tread. We did it hungover, so, I'd say it's on the easier side!

We really enjoyed this trail. Not difficult and very pretty. There were plenty of boards to traverse the marsh areas.

Great hike. Keep dogs on leash until you cross the old bridge, its a sheer granite face. At Mcginnis Creek you can continue to Bakers Peak ( North ) or head right ( East ) up to the Lake Trail. The last third of a mile is a tad strenuous. Once at the top the views are great, then you can head south along the ridge and hook up to the Lake Trail. The trail bisected my in-laws property and I have done this hike often. There are many Black Bear in this area. I usually hook a small cow bell on my pack, as well as , and especially on my dogs. There are also a good number of hunters in this area, make sure to wear blaze if hiking during hunting season.

A great hike! Well marked and the view was worth it!

Perfect for a moderate hike. Rewarded with a picturesque pond and swimming opportunity. Loved the hike!

Even with the mud and rocks this was a treat! Lots of interesting flora and fungi with a nice variety of terrain. And then there's the pond...wow! Nice hike around the lake.

Very very nice hike with not much of an incline and having the trail start off along the stream was nice. I highly recommend waterproof boots. Half the trail was all mud and water. It was a 2.2 mile hike to the shelter that could sleep possibly 8 on the platforms and 2 on the ground. Housekeeper wasn't there yet because it was early in the season. I've tried fishing there with no luck. But I've heard there is brook trout in there. The pond was beautiful and there is a trail that goes completely around the pond and a 1 mile trail that goes along the ridge with some cliffs. There are 4 tent platforms around the shelter with a nice fire pit and an outhouse. About .4 miles from the shelter is group camping platforms. Great day hike but I did an overnight at the shelter. I hope this review helped you out and I highly recommend this hike.

Love the surprise view when you get to the lake. Path could be muddy and slippery after the rain

Very fun moderate hike, getting to the peak is very rewarding.

Great trails. Lots of rocks, so boots are a good idea. Perfect for beginners and great for kids. Beautiful pond views as well.

A very well maintained trail, with good signage and great views, plenty of water and at this time of year, empty. We parked by the gate which was open. We came up from Peru Vt, which was a great treat to come back down to and have snacks at JJ Hapgoods.
