Nice quick trail with a great waterfall at the end. However, navigating over the rocks was trickier than we thought, so not all of us were able to make it to the waterfall.

Hiked the summit in Sept when leaves were at there best. Started from Granite Flats going up Deer Creek Trail, great hike except for last mile it is straight up, no switch backs. Came down bushwhacking through cliffs to the north of the peak, fun trail finding adventure. Caught an unmarked trail that loops around a no name peak east of Box Elder summit and went south connecting to and down Box Elder Trail. Took us 6.5 hours.

Hiked up Dry Canyon to Big Baldy Saturday 13 Oct, beautiful day for hiking, started at 10am finished at 1:30pm. Last mile to saddle between Big Baldy and Timp is straight uphill, a heart pounder. Got our feet soaking wet coming down from the snow melt stream in the middle of the trail. Busy trail passed more than 8 groups.

We hiked this Saturday up to probably .25 miles from the top. It was a beautiful trail and great exercise! The last mile was all in snow that at times got up to a foot deep. I would say it’s still hikeable but it’s freezing at the top! I would take some good sweats, waterproof shoes, and gloves are a must. No one had hiked to the point we had got to though, so I think we were still on the trail, but it was beautiful! The point we had got to and back was closer to 11 miles verse 9 though... perhaps this next week will melt a little of the snow and make it still hikeable- I definitely want to try this one again!

Amazing Hike!

This time I learned my lesson and wore pants (and long John's) . . .

The Canyon was closed about half way, so it added another 3 miles making it 9 total round trip.

Took the dogs with me and glad I did as they helped plow the snow path ahead.

Had to rope them off about a 1/2 mile from the summit because there was a little bit of scrambling / exposure.

Beautiful views of Lamb's Canyon, Millcreek, the Salt Lake Valley and out East to the High Uintahs.

Beautiful night hike to see the stars!! No problems getting up/down at night. There is a steeper rock portion going up where there’s not a clear path, but there’s so many people coming up/down that it was easy to find way. If night hiking, bring flashlight for sure! Arches is a no light park and the parking lot/surrounding area is completely black. Great for viewing stars! Just beautiful

Beautiful hike! Hike has views of Colorado River, two arches, desert & train tracks. The hike is short and sweet, but does have an area of steep rock with a ladder. If afraid of heights or unable to climb well, may not be trail for you! The top is beautiful though and I highly recommend if physically capable. Bring lots of water! Doggos everywhere and lots of places to sit around arch.

Such a fantastic hike!! Definitely chilly up at the top with wind so pack layers. Hike has ups, downs, climbing, ladders, etc so prepare if elderly or have children. There were a couple times I had trouble following the trail, but it is well marked by others with the rock towers (look for them!) This hike is so beautiful though and unlike anything I’ve seen inside the national parks. Highly recommend!! According to signs at trailhead, it’s 2.2 miles up & back (total of 4.4) versus what’s on this app. Not sure what is correct!

Fantastic hike in the snow. Few people and amazing views.

Beautiful views after a moderate climb up the mountain. There are several viewpoints past the first one, making continuing down the trail well worth it.

In fact, you can make this a 12 mile through hike all the way to the end of the plateau at the opposite end of the canyon.

Know that nearly all of the trail is either rock, boulder, or a few inches of sand.

Great trail wouldn’t recommend taking dogs on This trail it get really narrow and especially hard when people are trying to pass up and down the trail. Very pretty and shady. Inclined become more aggressive near the end. Good for older kids. Plan on hiking out with little ones on shoulders or packs

So I did this hike today (OCT 14th) with my wife. It was snowing when we pulled up to the lot but we decided to trek on anyway. The views were beautiful. We saw a total of 6 deer (although two of them may have been the same ones just several hours apart). We also saw a moose. The going got tough towards the top because the last mile or so is about .6 mile elevation. Investing in some spikes for the shoes is probably a great idea. Some gaiters are probably not a bad idea but hiking poles definitely help to probe the snow. The lake was frozen and it was gorgeous. I forgot my sunglasses so when the sun came out the snow kinda hurt my eyes! Some hikers that were there before us said the route up to Pfeiferhorn was too tough because the snow was too deep. Overall great trail. Easy to follow.

We

The views on this hike are spectacular! The Rim Overlook is breathtaking. Once you get over another ridge and find The Castle it is absolutely stunning as well. Would definitely recommend this hike. I went in October so it was not that hot. However the hike has little to no shade, so go early or at a cooler time of the year. The only thing that makes this hike hard is the length. The incline is not bad.

Great trail and an easy hike. It’s well marked and had little traffic while we were out. The overall hike is closer to 7 miles from the Staves Spring trailhead parking. The view at the end is totally worth it! Definitely recommend!

Amazing, fun hike!
10.13.18, started at 1030, and got to Angels Landing at 12. And just relaxed and enjoyed the view!
The two multi-switchbacks were brutal! But after that, the climb with the chains to AL was the most fun! Please don’t give up! It’s an experiment that you need to see! You’ll be super proud of yourself!
The temperature was around 50-60F, so we packed extra jacket, don’t! You’ll be sweating hot with the hike! So don’t need the extra weights. One would be enough.
Would recommended to go early to catch the first bus to avoid all the traffics. Had to stop a couple times to give way to people going up. Yup it was one way one person traffic! So be considerate and give way to people.
Remember to have fun, stay hydrated and enjoy the hike!

The trail is challenging. I've rode my horses up it even as out of shape as they are and had a great time. Best views are early morning and when the sun is setting in the beginning of October. The hunting is terrible though.

Love Sundance and Stewart Falls.

This was a really fun trail. I took my Wrangler up recently and enjoyed the varied types of trail, from rutted dirt, high-banked corners, to super rocky roads, it was a little bit of everything. Definitely not for a non-4x4, but it wasn't difficult, it was just really fun. The Jeep loved it and handled it like a dream, as I imagine most competent off-road capable cars would. The view up top was pretty amazing. I would definitely recommend this trail.

Took my Jeep up there yesterday and enjoyed the drive. The views were really great--a mixture of mountainous vistas and man-made geometrical mountains. Given the moderate rating, I was hoping for a bit of challenge, but found the roads, even snowy and muddy as they were to be really quite easy. Inspiration Point in Willard offered a more satisfying off-roading experience. However, the payoff at the end was really quite cool. Definitely would recommend. If you are uncomfortable with heights, drop-offs, and tight roads, you might not enjoy it so much.

Beautiful trail with fun features including a ladder and a cable assisted mini rock climb. Breathtaking scenery. We went around sunset and it was stunning.

A very difficult hike for me physically and mentally (I don’t like heights) but worth every step to get to the top! Amazing view!

Wonderful hike with great views.

We stopped by on our way back from Spooky. Well worth the 1/2 hour stroll around. Great formations

Splendid slots, busy on a Saturday. We dropped into Peek-a-boo about half way up to avoid the rock face at the beginning. Went down and then came back and completed the whole slot. Hiked over to the top of Spooky and did it from the top down. Much easier this way

We never did find the arch but the canyon was great. Lightly travelled, there is a river crossing about 1 1/2 miles in. Check out KivaKoffee house on Route 12
