on Lakeside Trail

Absolutely stunning if you go when the sun starts to rise. However, I won’t go back until fall as I was eaten alive by flies and mosquitoes everywhere.

Short hike but great for kids. I came here on 6/21/2018. Lots of spider webs to walk through while I was climbing the rocks but to start your day on antelope island with this short hike is a must!

Absolutely gorgeous but Lord, the gnats.

Absolutely spectacular views from all angles.....never gets old. #Antelope

The trail is only well demarcated on the left, the right side it dissolves as you make your way over large rocks. Not really good for kids. And of course the bugs chased us out of there!

Great trail for beginners, young children, pets or a scenic stroll. Bugs are annoying at times and there is no shade but overall made for a pleasant afternoon walk.

My kids love this trail! I have a five year old and a One year old and they both hiked it really well. The view of the lake is also breathtaking. Very happy with this hike ❤️

Great scenery. Following the trail is mostly a guess, but scrambling among the rocks is fun. My kids loved it.

All but the last 1.4 miles are a dirt road, otherwise it would get 5 stars. Nice hike that is a bit less traveled especially that last 1.4 miles. The signage for the trail system is really good too!

Great view...

Great trail! Easy for kids, light traffic, dog friendly. Gorgeous views!

Beautiful..peaceful, but a lot of diverse traffic. A lot of off leash dogs so be prepared if your pup cant handle that (like mine). Encountered horseback riders and a large group of mtn bikers...

did this trail on Saturday. beautiful scenery! we started from White Rock Bay and went to Bridger Bay then hiked up a trail on the side of the mountain to to the top of buffalo point and then down to the buffalo point parking lot , down the road a little and then south down the mountain to the White Rock Bay campground parking lot. we figured it at about 5 miles. really great hike!

Beautiful views. Easy enough for my toddler (though she tired out after a half mile so we carried her the rest of the way). So peaceful. We will be back!

We only did about a half mile on this trail yesterday because two huge bison were grazing on it. That was incredible...but intimidating! We are definitely going to come back and try it another day. Antelope Island is beautiful!

good walk

Great hike with a great view, perfect for early morning or late evening. Long trail but worth it

Great family hike in early Fall. Pretty easy hike with beautiful views especially once you get about a mile out!

Pretty easy hike although I assumed you'd be closer to the water from the description. Also tons of swarms of mosquitoes pack bug spray and a hat . Maybe some long sleeves and something to cover your face !

Really nice walk along the water. Instead of doing the in and out I hiked up and down Buffalo Point for an additional challenge and some nice views. Like elsewhere on Antelope Island, wildlife abounds.

So many bugs, you can't see the ground.

This is a great trail to do anything on. Walking or riding a bike. There is a section on the northwest that can't be ridden, but other than that even riding this trail is great. During the summer there are many spiders that have their webs across the trail and may intimidate you but they are harmless. You can see all kind of animals along with rock formations and even items left behind from mans early days on the island. If you only want to do the trail one way, take two vehicles and park one at the end of the trail and start your hike at the other. About 2.6 miles one way.
