This is my favorite trail to mountain bike on. There’s so many good views and the river along the trail is beautiful. Good place to go if you just need to get away from the city. Doesn’t take very long either. I went hiking there last week and it was just as beautiful with all the snow and the sound of the creek.

Spike Hiked up on New Year's day. snowshoes are not necessary. packed in Euro sleds to come down. this was a riot. sometimes the trail was too narrow, rocky or steep for the sleds, so we would pick them up and walk a bit. super fun day!

Wonderful winter hike. spikes are perfect right now. We saw a moose on Thursday.

One of the best snowshoe hikes in Provo Canyon. There was a ton of snow today. I wore my spikes, but wished I had snowshoes. I usually do this as a loop, turning left at the Big Springs sign, heading through a couple of meadows. I often see turkey up here.

Very nice drive in fall, it is absolutely worth it to take the road to Cascade Springs and take a walk there. Along the way there are not that many spots to stop the car and take photos :-).

I think it's definitely worth the steep and dull beginning to get to all that is to be seen above.

Have done this trail hundreds of times to keep up my cardio for high altitude hikes. I usually hike it three times in a row (three laps).

It's great to go out with your dogs on. The trail can either be a full loop or a "Y" and back 45 min hike/jog.

Trail almost completely covered in ice right now so it is a little hard to navigate.

There was some snow on the trail, which made it easier to hike. From Nunns Park it is 1mile one way to the creek and the “Rock Sofa”. Trail is definitely steep, for that I would suggest it to be more of a moderate level hike. I have heard rumors of waterfalls on this hike, but didn’t see any except for bridal veil falls on the opposite side. There were a lot of deer tracks, but didn’t see any.

snowing up there now!

Fun Thanksgiving day hike! It took 5 of us about 3 hours. We ran into a blizzard at the top. Beautiful loop!

Hiked today. Brief review: nice hike. Consistent climbing. After the turn off at about 1.7 miles, the next mile is up a wash. Probably the most consistent effort of the hike. After that, the rest of the climb is easier (relatively). Turn off was easy to find. No mud today. It’s likely too cold for mud now.

This was an awesome hike and climb, many off shoot trails and if you go up the peak opposite provides a mix of high incline hiking and moderately difficult rock climbing.

Nice walking trail. Nice and easy. Looked beautiful with all the fall colors

The trail, where it diverges from the Rock Canyon trail, is not marked. Use the map in this app to make sure that you make the left turn at the y in the trail. It is steep, but winds through aspen and other deciduous forest. There were flocks of robins, other small birds, and deer in the woods. Wish I had been here a few weeks earlier when the aspen were bright yellow.

The upper part of the trail is steep and was very muddy from snow melt. The view from the peak is worth the effort.

Beautiful hike! Lots of scrambling up the rocks

Very steep and quite the calf workout. Legendary view and if you go at night, it's great to stargaze while laying on the Y.

Took our dog on this hike. It is really short, which is what I wanted because we didn’t have much time. The waterfall isn’t spectacular, and the trail isn’t really kept. Honestly, it doesn’t seem like a real trail. It starts behind a small structure on the paved trail above the parking lot. Apparently you’re supposed to pay to be there - not loving that part. There is an envelope where you put the money in.

Super easy walk to the falls. Great hike if you have little ones!

I read a lot of reviews on here before doing this hike, and they all said it wasn’t that great, but I wanted to do it anyway. IT WAS SO GREAT!!! Especially mid-October, the colors are so beautiful and vibrant, and I loved being up in the trees. The view is amazing, and though it was a pretty challenging hike, it was waaaaay worth it!
