Excellent trail for a nice stroll, run or bike ride. Today, I biked it from Vivian Park to Utah Lake State park. It only took a few hours -- it's pretty much all downhill. It's a great trail to hit for a workout while enjoying nature.

Great trail with some nice views! The best thing about this trail is the close proximity to Provo. The rock formations are always intriguing. Enjoy the climb!

Easy paved trail along the Provo River but the waterfall at the end of the trail is worth the hike. Be prepared for a busy trail though

This hike amazed me! I began at sundown on the 4th of July and got to the peak at about 11 PM. My goal was to shoot a time lapse of the fireworks. I loved it even though I got there a little late to get the best of the show! 2700 feet to the top is no joke! It is uphill for about 90% of the hike up, but it is not as bad as it sounds! I highly recommend this hike!

Here is the fireworks time lapse I made from the peak: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MX-RrUnv9tw.

Fantastic hike. Our GPS clicked at 7.5 miles vs the 7.0 miles AllTrails indicates.

Also, lots of people said it was between 2 hrs and 2 hrs and 30 min hike. I Don’t think that’s realistic unless you run part/all and take no breaks.

Our total trip was 2 hrs 50 min. We hiked fast up with almost no breaks, took a 20-30 min break at the top, and jogged the way down anywhere it wasn’t steep (14 min miles on way down). For most hikers, I would expect this to be 3.5-4 hrs.

This was our first hike in Utah. We just moved here from New Jersey and this trail was a warm welcome to Utah. It was perfect for my 11 ya old daughter who made it to the top. My 9yr sold loved it too. Definitely bring some shoes for both hiking and water play for the kids. They had a ton of fun. Definitely will go back.

You can park just on the other side of the river from the waterfall if you want to shorten this trail.

I love this hike, but it is demanding. It’s straight up for a good bit of the way, but then opens to fields of wild flowers. Views are amazing and worth the work!

Probably my favorite hike in Utah County. Great workout but not too hard. Nothing like standing next to that American flag on the 4th of July, overlooking the valley, blasting Springsteen on your speakers. That, my friends, is as American as it gets.

My favorite hike so far this year. The rock formations are awesome, there is forest, meadows, butterflies, wildflowers, and the best view of the valley I have ever seen!

Went for an evening hike. Not a single soul but our group. First part is pretty steep, then turns into a walk along the stream. We crossed at several points, but that wasn't necessary. Saw a few snakes, so be aware of what's on the trail. Overall, nothing spectaculat, but still a nice getaway that avoids the crowds at other more popular trails.

This is a demanding hike. There are few if any switchbacks, but the stunning views, especially from the summit, are an ample reward for the effort.

Great falls. You can hang out at the bottom or hike part of the way up. I think this is a great Sunday pit stop after being on the road a long time. Not really a hike even if you do go part way. Maybe good for a date with a girl who doesn't like to get her shoes dirty but wants the social media attention.

I thought this was a pretty nice hike. We were kind of let down by the end of the trail, and there weren’t many overlooks. All in all, it was a beautiful mountain! Very long. Pack plenty of water! This area is perfect for rock climbers.

Lots of people near the bottom but as I kept going up it cleared up a lot. There are two waterfalls and it’s definitely worth it to climb up to the upper one if you can. I found a spot to set up my hammock and it was surreal.

This trail is pretty lame up until you get to the creek. Before the creek its a pretty steep slant with the only good view being behind you of bridal veil falls. However, once you start going up the creek (following the little cairns along the way) you can see some pretty amazing smaller waterfalls and river formations.

Really fun for a quick and easy hike!! The falls are so pretty. The actual “hike” off of the unpaved trail is only about 0.5 miles total. If you’re just looking to do the unpaved trail, you can actually park at Upper Falls Park and cross the bridge to get to the actual start of this hike! Otherwise you’ll be walking along the Provo River Trail for about a mile and a half until you get to the hike. If you do follow the all trails map and start on the Provo River Trail, it is an easy walk and you’ll pass Bridal Veil Falls. You can’t go wrong!!

Pretty creek at the top, but not really worth the effort put in to get there.

I hiked this trail for the first time today and it has turned into my new favorite in the Provo area! It was just long enough and strenuous enough to give me a great workout. I started the hike at 9:50 am and I completed it in 2 hours 45 minutes with a 20 minute break at the peak. I passed a whopping total of 6 people while hiking up this trail and I had the peak all to myself. Because it was a Sunday morning it was not crowded and I was able to see plenty of wildlife. I ran into a snake, a couple of dear and I even saw some wild turkeys! ( at least I think they were turkeys....) Not too mention that I am pretty sure I died and went to butterfly heaven! So many butterfly’s and plenty of wild flowers in the meadows even for it being the beginning of July. There was ample amounts of shade from the tree coverage as well. A couple of other reviews mentioned the turn off to the left after bridge #5. The fork is not directly after the bridge but a little ways further up rock canyon trail. As long as you are looking for the turn off to the left you won’t miss it. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this hike and if I could give it 10 stars I would!

I enjoyed taking my 3 children and my dog. They had a great time. It was a little crowded when we went which made hiking up to the falls harder. Still fun though and very pretty

Very pretty but often super crowded. Great little adventure for young families as it is short, sweet, and the “reward” is almost instantaneous thanks to the large waterfall at the end :)

great for the whole family.

Started at the beginning near Utah Lake, the first 2 miles is very nice then the roots have made the trail bumpy from Geneva Rd to State street. The next section is boring until you get to the mouth of the Canyon I stopped a Mt Timp Park. It is very lovely there with full rest room facilities and picnic tables and grass to relax on. Quite a few people and dogs on the trail. I would recommend riding very early in the morning or on a week day overall a nice little ride

It was a great short hike, but just know it is straight up.

Definitely not 1.3 out and back. More like .5 out and back.

This trail follows the Provo River Parkway Trail. It was so quick to The Falls, we actually kept walking thinking you can get closer to it. We turned back and spent time in the pool area at the bottom. The water was shallow in some parts at the bottom, so my not so loving water baby could walk on the rocks, but not get too wet.

Nice for a fun cool off time during the summer, but really easy so it was packed with people.

Would do it again!

Absolutely stunning. Field after field of wildflowers (June) at the top and an amazing view of the valley at the peak. Hiking sticks recommended.

We did the section entirely in the canyon. We started at Vivian Park and went to Canyon View Park. Starting in this direction, you lose elevation, and will gain it all on the way back. There were only two small sections that I had to get off and walk the bike, but mostly the elevation gains are very gradual, so you can easily do this trail if you are moderately in shape (like me). Also, this particular section is nice anytime of the day as it seems much of it remains shady.
