Great hike! We went on 9/18 and the trail was still perfectly fine to hike. Some points had snow and were a little slick, especially right in the beginning, but we were just fine in regular hiking shoes. The falls are partially frozen and gorgeous! The trail was not very busy either. We brought our dog, and she had a blast. This trail is rated moderate with some up and down hill, but probably pretty easy for more experienced hikers.

Super fun in winter!

Absolutely beautiful and an easy hike! The water fall is half frozen and stunning. Definitely would recommend!!

What a fun trail! Took my stock ‘18 Rubicon up Tibble today. The weather was great. Some snow covered spots along the trail on the way down to Midway starting after the highest elevation point. For those wondering if this trail is for them, id say definitely make sure you have an SUV with 4wd or AWD (mostly for the snow). You’ll go over some rocky areas but its not bad. Could def handle in a Forester or another small SUV.

Loved this hike!

We went right after it rained, so the fall colors were extra pretty! About halfway up we hit some heavy fog which was really cool, and made for a great fall hike! Haha, your pants will get wet from brushing along wet grass if you go after rain

Are you in shape? Let’s find out! Total workout! Down hill in fall sucks due to all the toe grabbers covered with leaves and steep trail . Bring a sack lunch and water.

Just the right amount of everything!

I love this hike but the upper stretch of Mill Canyon trail is in serious disrepair. Probably a dozen trees felled without regard for trail users in the areas beyond the Holman Cabin junction. With a little snow on top it becomes treacherous in some areas. Probably best to wait until spring for this hike.

It is a sweet hike not very long but the beauty is worth it.

Fun hike, beautiful sights and great falls.

Easy and short trail. I like it.

A great trail with beautiful views and a waterfall at the end. To avoid the crowds, go early.

Nice length (not too short or too long) and varied steepness. We spent time at the falls and hiked with a baby and it took us 2.5 hours

It's a good family, friendly trail.

My husband and I completed this hike on October 21. We started around 10:30 and were surprised to find there were only a couple people we encountered on the way their, and a few on the way back (maybe everyone gone for fall break?).

The trail is lovely and not too steep. We were a couple weeks late on peak fall foiliage, but everything was beautiful just the same.

Our only regret is that when we got to the waterfall, we scrambled down to the river. Instead of scrambling back up, however, we took a long, meandering way down that added a significant chunk of time to our hike. Next time, we'll have to figure out a better way to get back up to the main trail.

The quiet, beautiful morning was well worth the 90-minute drive for us. A must-do hike for northern Utah!

I liked it. Lots of people up to the falls but after the falls it is somewhat steeper and less hikers. Easy trail to follow even through the tall grass in the meadows.

It’s one of my favorite hikes in AF canyon. Can’t beat the scenery. It’d rate this as moderate though.

Great hike! Save time to explore once you get to the falls; there is a nice trail that leads up towards the top of you don’t mind being adventurous and climbing a little.

Lovely hike. So beautiful the entire way to the Falls, and the Falls themselves are awesome.

Beautiful hike. Barely passed anyone else on a Sunday morning. A light dusting of snow made things a bit muddy. Great views and scenery as the seasons were changing from fall to winter

This trail is pretty mellow. It generally takes your through aspen forest, from Summit Trailhead to Aspen Grove. The elevation changes are gradual.

Hiked up Dry Canyon to Big Baldy Saturday 13 Oct, beautiful day for hiking, started at 10am finished at 1:30pm. Last mile to saddle between Big Baldy and Timp is straight uphill, a heart pounder. Got our feet soaking wet coming down from the snow melt stream in the middle of the trail. Busy trail passed more than 8 groups.

The trail is challenging. I've rode my horses up it even as out of shape as they are and had a great time. Best views are early morning and when the sun is setting in the beginning of October. The hunting is terrible though.

Love Sundance and Stewart Falls.

Climbed it this last Saturday, 10/6. It was a little chilly with some light snow falling. It gets pretty rigorous and steep at some points. It was actually more scenic than I expected. The reason why I give it 4 stars is because the trail slopes inward at certain parts so on the way down it wreaks havock on the knees and ankles because with every step your legs want to fall inward. I enjoyed the hike overall, but will probably never do it again because of the rough, uneven trail.

Nice place to snowshoe in the winter

Didnjis the reverse way as I was on my way home from work from Heber to Salt Lake. Obviously took the scenic route. This time of year (October 9th, 2018) we just got a few inches of snow and the road was just a little muddy but no snow. Unreal landscapes. A must do absolutely. SUV for sure with careful watch, anything else with mud terrains or BFGs, full speed.
