Higher altitude than what I’m used to but the clouds are spectacular!
Beautiful setting!

Where we started from (near the shopping center), this was a paved walking trail. It was very flat and easy. I would call it a walk rather than a hike. I think we should have started in a different spot.

Great hike right out of Park City!! Nice even climb up to bottom of Bonanza lift.

A little harder than I thought but well worth the struggles. The mining buildings a well intact for their age and really sends you back in time.

Nice Trail. Well marked. Nice views toward the top! Early November so upper was closed in some areas. All good, great day hide!

Correction about my last review:
We parked at the Community Church on Bear Hollow. Started on the Collins Trail heading up to Rob's Trail. After the moose we came down that trail but took a side trail into the neighborhood that connected us to Dubois Trail (not Dejong) .

We hit the jackpot yesterday!! Saw 3 moose on the trail! Had to turn around since they weren't going anywhere anytime soon. Back in the neighborhood we found another trail, the Dejong Trail, went on that one for about 1/2 mile and ran into 2 more large moose! Even though we didn't get to hike very far on either of these trails all of my hiking companions loved seeing moose. You don't always see moose on the trail so it was a treat. FYI: Stay at least 75 ft. away from moose and especially be careful when there is a calf with them, which there was in our case.

Awesome trail running and biking!

Nice trail. Very steep road in the beginning, but worth it to see the aspen trees and pines at the top. The main path was blocked off, so I ventured up to the left. Also very steep, but views were worth it. Lots of moose on trail, so be careful! Had to off road back down to avoid three moose laying on the trail I had previously walked up.

A bit of ice and mud at the bottom but it gets better at the top. We were probably a couple of weeks late for the aspens—they must be fabulous with gold leaves. Was still beautiful with all the white trunks and leaves in the trail. Nice view of the Canyons from the top.

The other reviews about the trail are spot on. It is steep and not that exciting. The views when you look back are spectacular. And the mine on the hill is awesome. Truly a testament to the engineering feats of man. We loved exploring it.

Great easy trail that’s fun with your dog (on a leash)... beautiful trees and views, and nice and wide. Careful of mountain bikers, and avoid busy times as it can get crowded.

I rode this trail along with Flying Dog twice for a total of 13.8 miles each time. Solid & fun trail, but too many beginner riders in my way. If you are an advanced rider, I would not recommend it unless you have a lot of patience for 50% of the riders who very slow.

Gorgeous with the yellow aspen trees

Great place to trail run! Just be mindful off all of the mountain bikers.

Great hike. We had to go up the “gulley” since a marvelous full grown bull moose decided to block the trail. There was no way to convince the big guy to move.

More of a walk than a hike. Near the road and goes through some houses. Cool sculptures and access to the water though

The first half of the hike was a steady uphill climb but worth it when you got to the abandoned mines. The mines are very cool and offered a vivid look into Park City’s early history. If not for the mines, there are more interesting hikes in the area. A walking stick is recommended because the trail is steep going both up and down with many loose rocks.

Was a great hike, started at the St Regis and ended up at the Mountainside Marriott. At the beginning the trails are not marked well but we figured it out.

This is a great trail! I usually ride the bus up to the montage and jump on the trail there to eliminate a little of the climb from silver lake. I like to go early get up there at about 8 and traverse over to park city and take one of the downhill trails from there before the lifts open. The views are amazing and there are some nice benches here and there that you can take a break on and take it all in.

Not enough shade, need to be there first thing in the morning. Did see a beautiful large moose grazing and that was exciting. Very dusty trail, mountain bikers don’t slow and give you time to yield to them. I probably wouldn’t do again.

Very steep uphill and compensated by also being very steep downhill. Not much shade either. The mine is cool but there are better trails to get there and back. We have hiked a lot of better trails in Park City.

Pretty diverse hiking. part of it was on an open, rocky trail, but lots of side trails to venture off to. Saw a neat old abandoned mine along the way, a beautiful grove of aspens, and a forest of firs. Used GPS tracker a lot-no trails markers.

Easy to hike, some nice views of the beautiful area, but nothing particularly unique on the landscape beyond the abandoned mine building.

New hiker family w/ 1 nature lover and some reluctant members (and a healthy bit of bickering! ) We tried this hike and loved it! Great views.. very private.. and challenging but not too bad. Trail markers were very clear. Also- pro tip — I made my kids (teens) think of songs for each trail picture—- which really added to the bickering! You are welcome !

Great hike with plenty of shade and sun. I got a bit confused when trail signs denoting Rob's trail seemed to stop. I keep turning right to go higher. Trail markers said Mid-mountain, GPS here said I was still on track. Great view at the top! Mountain bikers were polite & friendly.
At the end of this trail are a few other options to go further. I opted for the extra bit at the top to reach Murdock's peak-the first part is quite steep & rocky and then eases up. Going down is always a bit more interesting!

Loved this winding, scenic trail.

Beautiful hiking but have to watch out for bikers
