Great hike, beautiful. It was just SO hot when we went.

I can't believe more people have not reviewed this Trail it was absolutely stunning! There's no way that it is easy, I would rate it at least moderate as it's uphill in some areas. I hiked up this Trail and then took the Ontario Trail on the way down. It was an incredible hike. Highly recommended.

Trailhead not marked but once your on the trail you’ll be going uphill for 1 mile to a magnificent overlook. Trail is aspens/spruce and firs with very few clearings to hike through. Only saw 13 people and 6 dogs. Mostly rocky trail

This was such a beautiful hike. We were on the trail at 7 on Saturday morning and had the trail to ourselves until the way back down - lots of mountain bikers. The foliage was full, the aspens were stunning, and the wildflowers were a dream. We went all the way up to Murdoch Peak. It was a perfect moderate hike on a well travelled trail, with steady inclines and shade about 60% of the time.

This trail starts to the left of the Silver Lake Express chairlift in Deer Valley at Silver Lake Lodge and is used by a horseback riding company. Not a bad thing except the trail was dusty and very soft, loose dust-I thought I was walking on the beach in Destin, FL. Once you get to the deck, picnic tables and grills turn around and go back or you’ll be walking up a service road-not scenic. The lake is Jordanelle reservoir in the distance. Not a lake you touch or feel.

It was so hot, which didn't help. It was good overall. The trail intersected dirt roads and have to watch out for the mtn bikers.

I haven’t hiked this for a month or so but I usually hike up to the bench and back so don’t get the same mileage as stated even though it is still a nice moderate hike. This is a trail for almost anytime of year except right when it is becoming slush in spring. Mostly shaded with lots of trees so beautiful in fall also. I have never seen moose on this trail but have many friends that say they have seen them on this hike. This would be a good hike for visitors to Park City adjusting to altitude as it does not involve steep climbing.

This is a steady climb and good workout, not a super long hike. Will be a bit more difficult if you’re not used to altitude because of climb but very doable. Hiked at dusk yesterday and nearly ran into a moose!! Last week I hiked up to mid mountain trail instead of summit. Very nice trail but current noise pollution from Colony construction infringes on what would be a fabulous hike. Don’t recommend hiking the mid mountain portion at this time if you enjoy solitude and nature.

Wasn't prepared for the steady incline. Thought about turning around, but knew I was near the top so kept pushing through. View from the top really nice. Had a hard time finding the trail head, which is in the middle of a cul-de-sac. Glad I did it, but probably want to try other trails before repeating.

A great hike which was challenging with magnificent views. Some of the best views I’ve ever seen. It’s well marked and a must do if you are in the area.

Good view at the top of the trail.

Amazing ❤️

Much dustier and rockier than expected. This is more of a bike trail. No shade and no river crossings. Pretty views though.

Awesome.

Perfect quick hike with an amazing and kind of unbelievable view at the top! I finished in 1:15

This trail totally exceeded my expectations. Quiet, lush, a nice steady climb, and only a few friendly travellers along the way. I appreciate having a secluded experience and this definitely checked that box. Gorgeous views from the top! And the nice bench up there was a pleasant surprise.

Great trail for two reasons - very few people and so can take your dogs. In fact most people we run into on trail have dogs. If you hate dogs please stay off this trail and don’t ruin it for the majority of people who love dogs

Excellent to go up Ontario Trail to top of Deer Valley (Bald Mountain) and then make it a looplby going down Silver Lake trail for views of Jordanelle. Start at mid mountain of Deer Valley.

Beautiful trail, especially at the beginning when the trail follows the stream. The wild flowers were gorgeous! While not particularly steep, this trail is more of an endurance game. The fallen trees mentioned in previous comments have been cleared recently. The summit view wasn't much to write home about, and there was nowhere to sit and take in the views (either at the top or on the trail). Definitely glad I went once, probably won't do again. :)

Excellent riding with a nice variety of trails beyond this one. Definitely challenging and fun with plenty of technical spots.

A little tricky to find parking; make sure you obey all signs. I only saw 8 other hikers! Uphill and all big rocks. Beautiful scenery & mix of shade/sun! Loved it! The view from the top is worth the climb...

Don’t miss the cut off at Dawns Trail if you want the loop - it’s more like 3.8 miles.

Hard work on way up. But beautiful forest views and satisfying finish

Completed in mid June 2018. I really enjoyed walking through the mountain forrest. the combination of thick trees and thick vegetation was very cool. the beginning seems to be the most difficult part out of Park City, but once you hit the switch backs and the thick trees it is not too bad. took me and my two boys about 1hr 45 minutes at a slow but study pace. I really enjoyed this trail. did not see anyone else on this trail, but could see evidence of past mountain bike use. would be hard to pass a biker on switch back trail is very narrow. we rode the ski lift back down. made the climb worth the it. ski lift is free coming down. $24 per person to go up.

The gate was open, and the trail was lush and green. A few downed trees are still on the trail. Hollyhocks and wild roses can be found.

The entrance is. It marked at all. If you follow the map it will take you there but you have to be looking for it. There is really no where to park you have to park down the street. Well worth the hike for the view up top.
