Did this trail counter clockwise in three days in mid July. It was expectedly hot 100-120 degrees with almost no shade. We stayed at potato bottom A the first night. This is a beautiful spot on the river (a lot of mosquitos). Then took our time down to Murphy A. This is a must! By far the coolest campsite I have ever stayed at. (Make sure to stay at A not B or C) then went to airport A. This is a rather plain site. No shade or shelter. Beautiful view of airport tower though. We then went down Lathrope to the river and spent the day there. Overall and incredible trail. Pretty easy, some difficult spots. We then drove to Moab down the potash trail, worth it. I would recommend some off-road tires and to air down, at least in the sandy spots if you want to slow down. We did it in a 2017 Tacoma with a 2 inch lift and wrangler duratrac tires.

fantastic views at end of trail

This is an easy walk along a dirt path. 4 stars only because I'm not a fan of how they let people climb all over under the arches. I think it should be roped off. We saw so many people up on the rocks, it was impossible to get a photo without them in it. Very cool set of arches though, and will be back some day when there's less people.

Took this short walk while on our drive thru the park roads. Pretty neat to see this huge boulder perched like it is. Easy walk.

We did this drive on 7/6/18 and I enjoyed it. We didn't make it out to the Devils Garden end, but will do that another time. I was blown away by how crowded this place was. Crazy amount of people. Could not even find a parking place at the Windows area. And was disappointed to see the amount of people climbing all over the rocks at Double Arch. I think the park service needs to re-evaluate where they let people go. It was not cool in my eyes. You could not get a picture of the arches without people in your pic. I will return here some year at an off season time, and hope to see less crowds. There should be a limit on vehicles allowed in too, there clearly is not enough parking for all the cars they let in. Not even close. The line went on forever when we were leaving. Great pics to be taken, but I think some things should be done to manage the crowds.

I didn't walk out this whole trail. I went down a ways to get a view towards the east, but that was it. The Green River overlook is better than this one I think. You can't even see the Colorado river from here?? Was not impressed.

Double Arch is one of my favorite arches for sure, the walk is super easy but usually pretty busy. A hike for everyone.

really east walk off the road , beautiful to see that many arches so close together. Went back at sunset and was so glad I did. A great little trail to take kids on as well. Pretty busy so good early if you can or if you can a sunset view is amazing!

I did this one at 5 am before the heat and sun came up as I wanted to watch the sun come up and hit the arch. Was well worth getting up early to see, so beautiful. Not too bad of a hike, one part is a bit of a work out but take your time and go early and it is not too bad. If you only have time to do a few hikes in the park make sure you add this one to your list.

Awesome hike! Not to many miles but still took us about 2 hours due to stopping because of heat. I recommend two or more bottles of water per person as well as a shirt than can be easily soaked by water (it helps with the heat). Not hard if you’re in decent shape, it’s the heat that kills so start hydrating the day before because it was so hot I got blisters and our car read 117 degrees. Definitely worth the heat thought, nothing like I’ve ever seen!

The review they give is good. Go when the weather is cooler.

This trail offers some of the best views of arches national park and the Utah valley . There is a steep climb that will take about 30-40 min and then a steep narrow ledge that leads you to the arch which is about 15 min . There is usually a lot of people on this trail especially in the evening . If you are going to this trail in summer plan on starting by 7:00 PM max and you can be back to the base by around 9:00 with sufficient time for pics .

7/5/2018. Amazing drive. Started at top of Shafer trail to Potash Rd. Some spots after decent into canyon were rocky, sandy and or steep. Conditions were very dry. Took about 1.5-2hrs. Did trail in a stock GX460 with g**dyear duratracs.

Note on trail rating/descriptions. There appears to be two for this area. One says easy and other medium and they blend together in reviews.

This was an amazing hike with great views from the valley floor and along rim tops. It was harder than we thought which was great. A lot of rock climbing up slick rocks which wasn’t to bad. Started trail at 7:15am and did t see another person. Exceeded our expectations on every level.

what a gorgeous hike - every where you look. I’ve hiked this trail over a dozen times and it never gets old!! there is always some sort of incline or decline; so towards the end, my ankles and my husband’s knees are sore. If you are going during the afternoon or for sunset; BE PREPARED!! Hide in the very few spots of shade you can find and bring at least 3 liters to a gallon of water. Moab sun WILL not think twice to kill you; it’s already taken someone this year. be safe, be smart.

My wife and I enjoyed this trail. The primitive trail was nice too and gave us some solitude.

Nice easy hike but did the straight through hike to all three arches sand dune to broken arch to tapestry

I am not a huge fan of walking around and looking at arches. I know there are some of you who love Moab and the biking, jeeping... and probably arches. I had fun going down with my kids, but I would rather hike to alpine lakes than arches. That being said, I really did enjoy this hike. It is an awesome arch.

Beautiful hike. No shade so take a hat sunglasses and sun tan lotion. Oh and water lots of it. And above all take that picture.

LOVED this hike! My husband and I went at 6 am with two kids, five and two, and we all did great. It was steep for about 1/2 mike but pretty easy the rest of the way. The Arch appears just as you come around a corner and it is breathtaking.

The juice is worth the squeeze.
