The views are worth it but the path near the top is a little tricky with all those boulders to cross. I really enjoyed Bloods Lake. I would go again just for that area alone however the dog poop bags were very unpleasant to have to pick up. So disgusting! Please pick up after your pets. Do NOT leave the bags on the side to pick up later because you may forget and it pollutes the area and makes it unpleasant for hikers walking by when they are trying to enjoy the scenery. Thanks!

Awesome hike. Absolutely beautiful on the peaks!

did not expect as a challenging trail but surprisingly amazing place...very relaxing. for sure I'm gonna bring my family next time for new adventure.

Nice displays, easy.

How are you peeps finding this trail head? I followed Google maps in my F150 yesterday and the road just turns into an impassible four wheeler trail. I had to turn around and go to silver lake with the rest of Utah county.

Super fun pack light

Great trail to get away from the crowds. And the water temp was perfect for a swim.

Good trail but hot and dry. Also watch for rattle snakes! And bring water.

this is definitely not 10.3 miles I think it's closer to 7.5. At the top of Clayton is a stretch of about 100 m of Boulders that you have to climb through it is not a path. Might be hard for dogs

Tough hike. I took my 10 year old daughter on her first overnight backpacking trip. This was definitely a tough hike. Great fishing.

Excellent if you want to escape the smoky valleys right now! The water isn't as clean as I remember as a kid but this makes for the most perfect after work hike/stroll. Mostly completely paved. Stunning views, tranquil waters and perfect temps for summer!

We followed the AllTrails directions and ended up 1.8 miles from the trail head. We started walking and realized there was a road below the trail we were on - so circled back to the car and followed the map and ended ip at the right trailhead. The hike is hard because it is so steep. Views are beautiful and the lake is Amazing. not a hike for beginners, this one kicked our butts. But now one of our favorites! .

Amazing views that are usually shaded, you have dirt bikes on the trail as well as horses.
Great hike for larger dogs; some parts get a bit steep but it’s well worth it.
You’ll come to a point close to Tibble Fork where a sign points to the trail, of you go the opposite direction you come out by the dam at Tibble Fork.

Fun Area! Great views and nice trail.

Nice easy trail. Rough drive to get to the trail head.

Not a hike, but nice for a nature walk! Beautiful wild flowers and streams!

wonderful... early morning pleasant

Great secluded hike! I will be going back with a fishing pole.

Mileage is wrong. Less than 4 miles. Lots of rocks to slow you down if you are running. Amazing vistas at the top and a couple nearby lakes to cool you down.

Trail is called Willow Hollow.
Short hike. of .75 miles from the Alpine Loop Road to the main trail head of several other trails at high elevation.
The trail begins and seems very narrow like a bike route. After about 10 yards it opens up into a good hiking trail. Though short it is about half shaded. Leading into Quaking Aspen Groves with butterflies, wildflowers, and great views of the surrounding mountains.
there is some road noise, because you never really get far away from the Loop Road. Whoever left all of the beer bottles and devastation at an improvised campsite should definitely be arrested.
The parking areas to pull off large enough for two cars or one large truck with a trailer.

This was a cool and difficult hike. The climbs to the peak were definitely difficult and we stopped a few times for water and to catch our breath. The view from the second peak is beyond gorgeous! Great views of the 2 or 3 lakes that we were near. We actually ended up scrambling down from the second peak towards the lake and then went to the trail that led to Bloods Lake. However, even if we did the loop that was specified, it would not have been 10 mikes. The hike, at most, is 5.5 miles round trip.

Easy, paved trail. Lots of signs with trail directions. Very pretty.

My fiancé proposed to me at the top! It seemed he had superhero energy climbing up and I guess now I know why! We had the whole place to ourselves and it was magical.

Did this one last month. Pretty views of Midway.

as of early May, trail closed to vehicles. So sad.

I really loved this trail! Before you even get to the trailhead you have a rocky road and then a stream or two to drive through. Then it’s about a 39 degree incline over a mostly boulder covered trail. Great views all the way up. Once you reach the top it’s well worth it. We hiked this in early June and didn’t see a single person while on the actual trail. It was slightly chilly once we reached the very top but not terrible. I wish we had had more time to climb up the boulder hill and check things out a bit more once at the lake. I will definitely be going back to stay the night sometime. Take a hammock and a small dingy to float around in once up there.

This is one of the most beautiful I know of. The hike is a stair stepper but the pay off at the end is so worth it. It you hike up to the ridges above the lake you are looking down on the back side of snowbird. I can’t recommend this hike enough. Typically we hammock when we camp up here. Camping spots are limited.

Recommend practicing for this hike on a stair master, well worth the effort.
