One of the most beautiful trails I have been on. Highly recommend. I wouldn't recommend taking small children.

Did this on Turkey day and saw nobody. Bring your good set of knees and good hiking shoes, this trail will destroy you. There was snow up there but just enough to get your feet wet so hopefully you have waterproof boots. I put my micro spikes on because there had been some freezing rain the trail was pretty icy and steep in parts so the traction was nice. Because of time constraints I didn't quite make it to Insiration Point or Logan Peak. Beautiful area.

Great for a quick mid morning hike.
Up and back is about a 1.5 hrs.
Love the view from the cave.

Fun trail. Starts off very easy as just a dirt and gravel road and gradually gets tighter and more technical. The rock gardens were a blast to navigate through, but I do recommend a vehicle with good clearance, sliders, skid plates, etc as the rocks get fairly large. I rashed my sliders and wheels on rocks through this section. We then took the dirt road across to bear lake summit which spits you out in Logan canyon. The overgrowth is kind of ridiculous, so expect to get pinstripes the further you get up the trail. (This is why I only have it 4 stars) We also spotted a couple of moose which made it worth the trip!

love this hike and the views. Crisp new snow this morning and didn't pass another person the whole time. Fresh Cougar tracks this morning. If you park at the wind caves and walk across the street into the camp ground you will find the trailhead that takes you up the hills first, and get your blood pumping. watch your step at the top, huge drop offs.

I really enjoyed this hike and am looking forward to returning when I have more time and can complete it. Looks like it would be a great hike in the heat of summer as it is quite shaded.

Nice walk. Hard to call it much of a hike.

This was a beautiful trail but the difficulty is deceiving. If you are afraid of heights, you might want to rethink the adventure as it is very steep at the ascent with narrow parts. Definitely would have benefited from hiking poles as I ended up using the hillside to descend. I also did not make it up as my fear of heights made me turn back half-way up the ascent. I will do it again but next time I am bringing better equipment and more bravery!

I think moderate wheeling is a good description. I have a long bed tacoma with 33’s and a 2.5” lift. This trail really wasnt bad. Went in the early spring on a rainy day so there was some slipping on the rocks as when gained elevation. I did have a rear locker on as well so that helped. Beautiful scenery. Some prior off roading skill will help you ascend the trail with no damage or scratches. This trail is probably not for beginners. Lots of fun, a moderate challenge.

Very pretty trail. Mountain biked the loop in 2 hours including some very muddy sections that need to be walked.

This is a great one to do in the fall. No signs of snow and a clear trail with varied terrain. Also, did not see a single person on the trail the entire morning, so a good trail for solitude. I would definitely go again.

very beautiful scenery all the way around. It is a moderate Trail. but it is beautiful

This is the perfect date hike. Very easy hike along the Logan river. can hike to second dam, third dam, or just around first dam, depending on the length you desire.

5 stars, this trail was breathtaking. Fall colors were glorious and getting to the caves at sunset with no other people there, to die for. Amazing. Will do again.

Absolutely gorgeous, even with most of the leaves having fallen. Lake is crystal clear and the surface is like glass. Pretty busy given the weather, but more than enough space to “get away” from others. The far side trail along the lake was muddy, but doable. Just wear hiking boots, not sneaks and you’ll be fine.

My dog loved splashing and running, others with well behaved pets as well.

Bathrooms as clean as can be expected and odor was minimal.

Parking was accessible and had enough to go around.

Road up is a little precious is some areas bc of the shrubs intruding onto the drive path on the sharp turns.

Will be going back in full winter and spring to enjoy more!

Excellent trail, remarkable tree, beautiful experience even though most of the color is gone from the trees. (Oct 20) Hiked this but will definitely be back for a trail run! Started at 9:15 am, about 6 cars in parking lot, didn't see a soul until we had been at the tree for a while, but passed about 15+ on the way down. Hunting season, heard one gun shot, saw 4 hunters, one doe, 3 bikers, 1 runner, 2 miniature resin houses sitting on a mossy rock at the spring.

We hiked this Saturday up to probably .25 miles from the top. It was a beautiful trail and great exercise! The last mile was all in snow that at times got up to a foot deep. I would say it’s still hikeable but it’s freezing at the top! I would take some good sweats, waterproof shoes, and gloves are a must. No one had hiked to the point we had got to though, so I think we were still on the trail, but it was beautiful! The point we had got to and back was closer to 11 miles verse 9 though... perhaps this next week will melt a little of the snow and make it still hikeable- I definitely want to try this one again!

Nice hike. Steep in the beginning but evens out. If you’re
scared of heights you might want to reconsider, a few spots were on the edge, don’t look down!

I've wanted to do this one for a while, and finally made it up today with a few friends. The trail is relatively steep, but well marked. I really enjoyed the hike; one of the best in northern Utah in my opinion. A brisk fall day might have contributed to how much I enjoyed it, because we had the cave all to ourselves.

Fun, easy hike. Took me 45 minutes to reach the cave. October 6,2018. Not too difficult, beautiful weather.

I love this hike! Went once in July, a bit smoky from the wildfires but still beautiful, went again the end of September, the fall colors are absolutely breathtaking! The tree is cool, but it’s more about the journey than the destination. Easy hike too.

Great quick hike. Beautiful views.

I went with three other friends early in the morning 9am this fall (totally recommend going in the fall). We stopped a lot for pictures and to catch our breath. (One has asthma). But we still made it up to the Caves in an hour and 45 mins. When we got there, the Caves were underneath so we climbed down to them and it was fantastic! We ate lunch there and it was wonderful weather, once in a while a big gust blows at you but not like you’re going to be pushed around. As a group, we went around the cave to find another one next to it. Be careful, even with good shoes it’s very slippery (dry). We decided to go down what looked like a trial and it lead us back to the original trail. Warning, about 2/3 there’s a fork in the trail. Left side is a very steep cliff that’s about a 9ft drop. It’s manageable if you have people around you. The right also has a small drop and it’s manageable for one person. Over all, the whole adventure took about 4 hours. I’d totally do this again(even going through the steep trail). Makes great memories with friends! Also, I’m not an experienced hiker. I’m mediocre at best. Have fun!

very cool and worth the effort

Hiked this with my husband on Sep. 23rd and we really liked it. It’s easy once you get past the first mile, and the fall leaves were beautiful!

Lovely hike with the right amount of up, down and traversing the mountain. Also it is largely in the shade. The down is a bit steep in places so hiking sticks are nice if you have sensitive knees.
