This trail offered some beautiful views. We were happy to find a trail that allowed our dog. Certainly were her out. all around great little hike.

This is an amazing trail! The trail takes you to different fossil formations: clams, fish scales, and dinosaurs. There is an actual fossilized dinosaur femur embedded in the rock wall that you can touch. There’s also a vertebra about 20 or 30 feet up in the wall. The guide says 10 but it’s higher than that. There are also petroglyphs. The trail takes you from the Exhibit Wall to the Visitor’s Center. There’s a shuttle that takes you up to the Exhibit Wall so you’re just walking back to where you parked.

A pleasant hike back with fossils you can find yourself!

1-2 beautiful views. I’d recommend the sound of silence and desert voices 5.5 mike combo over this hike for views and serenity. This hike is good if you want something short and want to smell the river.

The hike behind the cabin is beautiful and serene. The other hike I enjoyed less. Seemed like a good place for kids to run since it had a lot of trail meanders.

Nice easy hike, downhill mostly from the exhibit hall back to the visitor center. Can touch a real dinosaur fossil. Interesting geology and neat scenary. Petroglyph wall too!

Trail begins on the north edge of the drop off zone for the Quarry Building. It runs about 2 miles back to the visitors center. You can ride the tram up to the quarry and take the trail back down to the visitors center. It's an easy hike, some stairs but that's about it. Marked fossils and deposits along the trail and some petroglyphs. As a family, we really enjoyed the trail. I'll post some pictures so everyone can see what this trail is like. Hopefully, it will help you make decisions about your trip to Dinosaur NM. Enjoy!

Easy peasy and worthwhile

Easy hike along the Green River, beautiful views!

Short easy walk and super interesting, with lots of petroglyphs to discover!

Great for the family! Lots of rocks for the kids to climb on. Tons of fun

Like others have said. Great hike in cooler shade to the small inner canyons. I loved the history behind Jose's cabin. Did the hike with two crabby girls (9 and 11) and afterwards they loved it!

I wouldn't really call this a hike just a walk up. Great petroglyph

Spectacular. Lots and lots of petroglyphs. And a view out into the valley that is also fantastic. And to top off our visit, a family of 6 or 7 turkeys. Do not miss this 10-30 minute excursion.

Easy hike. Great scenery. Interesting history. The creek is clear and beautiful. Josie Moran had an amazing place.

Great hike with kids (6,4 and 4). Mostly shaded and only gentle inclines.

Fun short hike that was mostly shaded even midday. The canyon was cool and also saw a rabbit.

Interesting petroglyphs close to the road, also gives nice elevated views of the area. Located on the way to Josie Bassett Morris homestead area, Box Canyon, and Hog Canyon Trails.

Great short hikes with totally worthwhile scenery. The box canyon makes you feel small. I recommend this to anyone who loves desert mountains.

Not really a trail, but more following a canyon and a creek bed. Very challenging and you really need a good GPS to not get turned around. Very pretty, though.
