Great vistas throughout the hike. Be prepared for multiple river crossings and ready to hike in miles of sand! Elevation changes vary and super fun and challenging when packing all of your gear. Bring bug repellent! No water sources until Beauty springs.

We did this trail last week. The trail is very sandy so expect to get a good workout. It is relatively flat until you reach the descent into the valley to the campsite. The valley itself has stunning views especially during sunrise. Expect to get your feet wet in the valley as you are going to cross the creek about a dozen times until you reach the hop valley campsite. The portion of the trail from the campsite to the Kolob arch does contain some steep hills but the view of the arch itself is worth it once you arrive. The arch is off in the distance and is easy to miss if you aren’t paying attention to the signs. Relatively few people were walking this trail so it was a great way to get great scenery in without the crowds.

Went out there with a friend, and we did see the white reef. But at the same time we didn't recognize it until the way back. We hiked a little further along the path, and found so really nice views. I would recommend this hike. Super easy, and well worth hike. Definitely spare of the moment.

Just what we were looking for today. Nice, easy walk around the cinder cone. Some nice scenery to boot. This would be a great evening walk with pets and kids.

Oitstanding view at the end. A must do if you visit Zion.

If I didnt want a longer hike this ones good. I did it when I finished hidden canyon late afternoon. The observation deck was popular earlier but near the end of the day not many people were there.

short but great view

Hadn't hiked for 8 months, so we looked for an easy one to get back in the swing. This is an easy trail which parallels the highway. Scenic in spots as it overlooks the lake. Although this is also a mountain biking trail, we did not see anyone on the trail with us today. Great starter hike.

Good little hike if you have small kids..

Fantastic views of iconic Zion landmarks. Easy hike up and down. Plan on 30 to 60 minutes.

If you love solitude and an epic view after hiking this trail is for you. Don’t plan on spectacular sights during the trip out. It is very quiet and nice to get away from the crowds. Bring plenty of water. The spring was barely running. I could see this hike being brutal in the middle of the summer in the afternoon. The hike out in the morning was enjoyable with some wind and the hike back got warm. I saw a total of 6 people on the trail.

We finished La Verkin Creek, bypassing Kolob Arch and heading into Hop Valley on day two on the Trans Zion Trek. Least favorite day of the trip. Huge inclines, no water unless you grab it on La Verkin. From here we went to the connector trail.

The end of this trail has a fabulous view of the Canyon - for not a lot of work to get there. It was quite crowded when we were there causing a few traffic jams on the trail, but nothing awful. Most important note for this trail is regarding the parking - you can only get into the SMALL parking lot coming from the west, and this lot is immediately after you exit the tunnel. Alternatively, park ~ .25 miles further east along the road.

This is a quick little trail, but the rock itself wasn't overly interesting. You can see similar hanging gardens / weeping rocks on Riverside Trail which is much more picturesque.

If you have difficulty hiking I can see why this is appealing since it’s easily accessible, but it wasn’t that impressive to me.

I think this is a fun little hike. Requires a bit of effort and skill. Wouldn't recommend for everyone, but should be fine for large majority. Keep a close eye on kids.

either we r nuts or?? couldn't go under bridge down without real climbing gear. tried 2 ways upstream ran into too much water, gross water, and rocks and trees up another slot so I gave no idea where this goes and based on the other tracks, no one does. it starts right at the east end of tunnel by the bathroom. we only got 1/4 before problems. maybe it needs to be dry.

Short and easy, but if you are looking for a better experience in Zion I would choose another trail. This trails was paved and a little boring. Not suitable if you are looking for more action.

Nice hike; enjoyed the sign at the end that highlighted the different formations. Love the view down range.

We did the trail with our 5 kids ages 13-5. It was a little tenuous in places. The rocks were a bit slippery from the rain and the loose sand. It was necessary to hold my littlest by the hand near the exposed canyon areas without railing. Definitely a non-strenuous, easy hike. The trail is fairly narrow and would be difficult for people who have mobility issues. The views the entire way were breathtaking!

Tons of fun for the kiddo, unique and awesome for the adults

This was a very easy and short hike!

Short, fun and beautiful

Super easy and short hike. I was in my Old Navy flip flops

There is much nicer walks in Zion. Also, you'll have a decent view from weeping rock if you do the beginning of east rim

I was a bit disappointed by this one. I was expecting a great view, but it was only "alright". I went there for sunset, but nothing spectacular. Also, this is NOT a moderate hike - it's easy. I did this in sandals after a 25 miles-ish day. Also, if you come by car from the valley, the parking is immediately after the tunnel to your right - don't miss it! Overall, it's worth stopping if you drive by, but not worth making the detour.

It was a beautiful drive up to the trail! The trail itself was short and sweet. Great view.
